EU Scholarship Announcement-10

Our Tenth EU2013 Scholarship Winner: Pancho Eliott

EU2013 Pancho Eliott Scholar photo II19-year old Pancho Eliott has always enjoyed the puzzles and challenging ideas that arise throughout life, especially the ones which arise from both math and physics. This is the reason why he went on to study them at the University of Manchester, UK. Pancho is enjoying his second year in Manchester, studying many areas from pure mathematics to more applicable physics such as Maxwell’s equations, quantum mechanics and relativity.

Pancho grew up with a printed set of Halton Arp’s anomalous galaxies above the kitchen fireplace. Pancho was introduced to the Electric Universe by his dad by talking through the ideas with each other and also showing where the EU idea fits the evidence in places where big bang theory does not. After reading Donald E. Scott’s The Electric Sky, Pancho became more enthusiastic about the possibilities it holds. He believes that the only way of advancing science is by considering carefully the different theories proposed, which he sees is clearly not happening in the mainstream on the grander scale.

With a Spanish mother who is an excellent cook, Pancho also enjoys cooking, both at home and at festivals with his parent’s catering stand. He goes to festivals during the summer, where he cooks in big pans with lots of spices and fresh vegetables. At these festivals aside from cooking, he enjoys listening to music and talking with many interesting about fascinating ideas.
