Today, scientific research into arguably the most perplexing meteorite ever found on Earth is “rattling the solar system status quo,” challenging astronomers’ fundamental ideas about our solar system’s formation and history. Since 2013, scientists on Earth have been studying the Hypatia stone, a rock fragment found in a Libyan Desert Glass field in southwest Egypt.
