Q1. What is the Electric Universe?

A1. It’s a new view of the universe that challenges the popular “gravity-centric” view.


Q2. What is different about the Electric Universe?

A2. In this new view, electric currents flow across all of space, creating high energy events and intricate structure that standard theory cannot explain. Recent data and observations of space call for new explanations.


Q3. Is the Sun part of the Electric Universe?

A3. Yes. Recent evidence suggests that electric currents flow along the arms of our galaxy, the Milky Way, then pinch together to create our star, the Sun. All stars appear to form in this same way, along vast but invisible filaments of charged particles.


Q4. Isn’t gravity the only force that works at larger distances in the universe?

A4. No. Scientists long believed that only gravity could cause planets, stars, and galaxies to form. That view is contradicted by new observations. With new telescopes we see distant objects much more clearly, and we view intense electromagnetic events that could not be seen in visible light. The picture of space has changed.


Q5. Who is studying the Electric Universe at NASA and other major space agencies?

A5. At present, Electric Universe research is not formally recognized by academic, corporate, or governmental institutions, though interest from individuals within all these institutions is growing.


Q6. What is The Thunderbolts Project and why does it advocate the Electric Universe?

Q6. The Thunderbolts Project is a collaboration of accredited scientists, independent researchers and interested individuals. Its primary focus is on interdisciplinary research, experiment, and direct observation of nature. These researchers do not rely on extravagant mathematics to solve the great mysteries of the universe. Benjamin Franklin’s famous kite experiment, proving that lightning is electricity, provided an early model for this experimental approach.


Q7. In the electrical view, when did the universe begin?

A7. Today’s science cannot give us either the origins or the size of the universe. The “Big Bang” is a highly doubtful theory according to Electric Universe proponents and a growing number of experts.


Q8. What is the power source behind electric currents in space?

A8. The “ultimate source” of electric currents in space is unknown. The origin of matter is similarly unknown. But the existence of both is beyond question. Electric currents are proven by the magnetic fields they produce and by the resulting high-energy electromagnetic events.


Q9 What is wrong with the dominant ideas in science today?

A9. Any scientific organization risks its own integrity when it claims exotic conjectures as fact. The Big Bang, black holes, dark matter, dark energy, neutron stars—even the nuclear fusion model of the Sun—are theoretical guesses, lacking the proof that integral science requires.
