Wal Thornhill: Reinterpreting the MAVEN Mission to Mars | EU2014

The Thunderbolts Project’s Chief Science Advisor, Wal Thornhill, gave a critical examination of the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) mission in this re-release of his EU2014 Conference talk presented on Saturday, March 22, 2014.

MAVEN launched in November 2013 to explore the Red Planet’s upper atmosphere, ionosphere and interactions with the sun and solar wind.

Wal gives an overview of the recent history of the solar system and Mars compared to the notion—under the inertia of belief systems—that the planets have slowly evolved to their current states over four billion years. Yet written all over the face of Mars is terrible recent devastation.
