For many decades, astronomers have believed that cosmological redshift indicates the “stretching” of light in an expanding Universe. The higher an object’s redshift, the farther away it is from our perspective on Earth. However, as we’ve reported exhaustively on this series, an imposing body of scientific research contradicts that perspective.
