The Bible and Midrashic sources say that the flood at the time of Noah occurred 7 days after a dwarf star flare event that had to involve Saturn. My guess would be that if Saturn was any kind of a fusion furnace, there would have been one such event in the planet's history but Plato claimed such events were recurring and the fossil record seems to support that.
Does it make more sense to note that there was originally an arc mode Birkeland current (Pythagoras' "central fire") running through the center of the system and assume that Saturn was sitting there like a capacitor soaking up electrical charge until it would periodically overload and flare??
Saturn as a capacitor??

Every body in the universe is a capacitor.
interstellar filaments conducted electricity having currents as high as 10 thousand billion amperes
