@BeAChooser Re the Donald Scott video, I was referring to this one from Jan 15, 2022: Probing Parker's Solar Probe Data.

Your latest potential gnome is another nail in the coffin for any concern I might have about Starlink satellites obscuring astronomers' view of the sky. Better they should give up sky-gazing and go do something useful, like flipping burgers.

Time is what prevents everything from happening all at once.

LOL! You have a point.
And from an amateur astronomer's point of view, all those extra moving points of light in the night sky is quite entertaining.

Dozens of links in this thread and all of Chooser’s threads and not a single link to an actual scientific paper. This forum has become his personal soapbox to bellow his personal prejudice against science. And so the EU finally subsides into obscurity.

Fantastic thread, Chooser. Objective, undeniably proof of the lockstep MSM and it's perpetual gaslighting.
Good work!

Apparently you do not understand the format of this forum. It is a free form discussion among forum members who are interested in topics related to the Electric Universe. If you disagree with a particular post feel free to make your case. If you dispute the worthiness of a cited source you are free to state the reasons for your concern...and so on.Higgsy wrote:Dozens of links in this thread and all of Chooser’s threads and not a single link to an actual scientific paper. Again, your implied assumption that this forum represents the Electric Universe demonstrates a profound misunderstanding of the forum's nature. If you go to the top of the page to the Forum Header you can read this disclaimer:Higgsy wrote:... And so the EU finally subsides into obscurity.

Poor Higgsy ... because he's still stymied by my challenging how all those ubiquitous, helically wound, plasma filaments out there came to be, he finds it necessary to lie about me. Not a single link to an actual scientific paper in any of my threads? Come on, Higgsy. You know that's not true. And I'm not prejudiced against "science" either. My complaint is that taxpayer funded, mainstream Big Science is prejudiced by hidden political and personal agendas. And you're unable to dispute this ... otherwise you'd have been challenging me on all those threads. Instead you disappeared.

You know, Higgsy, I have no objection if YOU want to pony up the billions to find dark matter yourself.
You could for instance, pay for the interstellar probe NASA is trying to sell to the taxpaying public using DM as the excuse …
https://www.spacedaily.com/reports/How_ ... m_999.html “How Dark Matter Could Be Measured in the Solar System”
It’s only 2 billion dollars ... and you only have to wait decades and decades and decades for the answer.
Just saying ...

Re: One Step Closer …
And, Higgsy, what about that supposed “rogue” black hole that taxpayers funded *scientists* just discovered?
Of what value is that knowledge to mankind … even you, for instance.
Is it going to change your life in ANY way … other than make you poorer by having to pay those *scientists'* salary?
If they were to discover a rogue black hole right next door to earth, is there a thing they could do to prevent your destruction?
No.
So it's essentially worthless knowledge.
Now I have no problem with YOU funding the pursuit of worthless knowledge, but taxpayers should not be forced to do that.
Not when that money could be used to research things that really might affect their lives in a beneficial way.
Or buy a hamburger.

The problem with the world's many online ankle-biters isn't that they're wrong. (In fact, arguing with them on their terms they consider a win. Attention from normal minds validates their abnormality.)
The problem for the world's many online ankle-biters is their own creation: In the end they invariably come to argue against themselves, much as the one in this thread does demanding that the very error of the establishment position be used to support ... the establishment position.
By not cooperating, Chooser, you passively and silently let the troll slowly indict itself. It is demanding proofs from where they most obviously, visibly, and notable simply do not exist...

Halos they've found in the last few years:

Face it, there is a "halo" around the galaxy, but it's ordinary gas and plasma, not 'dark matter'.

Re: Halos they've found in the last few years:
That’s right, Michael. In fact, according your first link, in 2012 astronomers found evidence that the mass of the hot gas in the halo “is comparable to the mass of all the stars in the galaxy.” That number is highly significant because according to Wikipedia’s article on Galaxy Rotation Curves (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaxy_rotation_curve), Vera Rubin, who has been lauded recently by the mainstream for discovering the galactic rotation discrepancy which DM enthusiasts have cited for 50 years as their #1 piece of evidence that DM exists, found that “50% of the mass of galaxies" had to be in the "dark galactic halo” (as Dark Matter) to explain the rotation curves. So if observations since 2012 indicate half the baryonic mass in a galaxy is in the halo, then there clearly is no need for DM to explain galaxy rotation curves. In which case, the DM groupies #1 piece of evidence just went POOF!. But DM is a gnome that’s too big to fail (too many incomes now depend on it's existence). The science doesn't matter ... what matters is their paychecks. So this news will not convince most mainstream astrophysicists (or likely Higgsy) to question or abandon their DM gnome. No, they'll go right on citing the rotation curve discrepancy as their #1 piece of evidence, just like they've been doing for 50 years. Because there's billions still to be made from the gnome. That's my prediction.Michael Mozina wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 12:05 am https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/chan ... 2-331.html

You have ~52 links in this thread alone (might have miscounted by one or two) and not a single one is to a scientific paper. They are all to news reports. Every one.BeAChooser wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 7:09 pm ...he finds it necessary to lie about me. Not a single link to an actual scientific paper in any of my threads? Come on, Higgsy. I found it slightly amusing that the new moderator doesn't know who Higgsy is, although it is understandable given his propensity to disappear for months at a time in his tireless search for snowball comets, dark matter and other cosmological fairies.
