Recent forum and main site outages...
Hi all, a quick note to say I humbly apologise for the recent outages on the forum and on the main thunderbolts site.
We undertook to migrate the whole site to a dedicated server, with much more storage space and much more bandwidth availability than we had before the move. This had become necessary due to both the growth in size and the growth in numbers visiting our site. The main site was relatively easy but still encountered an unexpected glitch, which took a day or so to overcome.
The forum however, was a different story entirely. It fell over in a big way during the move, and we could not access the Admin Control Panel to put things right. Not only that, but due to the nature of the glitch, I was unable to add a notice to the forum, not even a post, to notify members of the issue. And just to complicate matters more, resetting the email servers and forwarders had to wait until I had the all-clear from the tech people.
Anyhow, we're up and running smoothly again now. Thank you all for your patience. A special shout out to nick c for his continued help, support, and diligence through these trying times.

The archived v2.0 forum is currently unreachable to me. Any hypertext link to it I click on leads to this address:
https://www.thunderbolts.info/forum/phpBB3/
...which displays a totally blank page. The rest of Thunderbolts, and the many common sites I commonly visit, seem fine on my Windows 10 notebook.

Hi Keith,
I don't know why you cannot get to v2.0. When I click the link you posted it takes me to the v2.0 board index.
Is anyone else unable to reach v2.0?

v2.0 doesn't show from here either. Firefox shows a blank page and Chrome says,

HTTP ERROR 500

I just checked with Edge and it works so probably not a server issue.
Clearing cache/cookies in Chrome and Firefox didn't help.

Yes, I cannot get to v2.0 with Edge or IE.
But I have no problem with Chrome.

Re: Recent forum and main site outages...
Hi guys, thanks for reminding me to consider the browser factor, which in my case was the latest Firefox. I just tried turning all permissions on, and clearing cookies and site data, and that doesn't seem to have helped. I also just checked the link in Edge, and Edge seems to be working generally, but not with the link. I suppose I could reinstall Chrome to check the link in there as well, but not right now.

I'm using Safari on Mac and can't get to 2.0 when I click on any link. It just shows a white page.
This is the address shown at the top of the white page.
https://www.thunderbolts.info/forum/phpBB3/
When I click on the choice at the top of the page, or when I click on the home page, all I get is a white page.
[To v2.0 pre-2020 archive]> v3.0 Board Index
link at the top of the page points to:

From the Home page, the drop down menu at the Forum tag points to

Re: Recent forum and main site outages...
Al OK here.
I can see V2 forum properly, open any section and topic as expected.
I'm using PaleMoon browser, Win10.
Also working correctly on my Linux laptop, PaleMoon, Chrome and FFox all test OK.
Have occasionally seen a fleeting error before page rendering, will keep an eye out and try to catch it.

Re: Recent forum and main site outages...
If anyone is having a problem getting to v 2.0, I would suggest, at least for now, to try using Chrome as your browser.
Several have reported that Chrome works while other browsers don't.
Meanwhile, the problem is being checked out.

Re: Recent forum and main site outages...
Glad to hear it's being looked into. I'm posting this from Chrome, which is giving me an HTTP error 500 from the v2.0 link. Thanks.
