Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

A Black Hole is about to get the photo opportunity of its lifetime.
http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg2 ... -hole.html
Astronomers are working to tie together a network of microwave telescopes across the planet to make a single instrument with the most acute vision yet. They will turn this giant eye towards what they believe is a supermassive black hole at the centre of our galaxy, code name Sagittarius A*
Editorial: Lets hope they find the right kind of Black Hole
AT A time when financial black holes loom on all sides, it will be a relief to get a glimpse of the genuine article. Astronomers hope soon to have an image of the giant black hole at the heart of the galaxy (see "The monster at the centre of the galaxy")Movie Camera, so anyone still sceptical of the existence of these gravitational monsters should make the most of the next few months. It may be your last chance to doubt. Unless, of course, the thing fails to show up. To find that the only real black holes are of the financial kind would be doubly depressing.

This is the proverbial moment of truth....is anyone nervous?

I'm confident they're going to get a close-up of a plasmoid, if the NRAO VLA images are any indication.
The question is, what will they
admit to seeing? I predict more ad hoc hypotheses, regarding "black hole" theory, coming to explain why SgrA* (the "black hole") doesn't meet expectations.

They're jumping on the ad hoc train already with preliminary data from just some of the 'scopes in the array.
Here we report observations at a wavelength of 1.3 mm that set a size of 37 (+16, -10) micro-arcseconds on the intrinsic diameter of Sgr A*. This is less than the expected apparent size of the event horizon of the presumed black hole, suggesting that the bulk of Sgr A* emission may not be centred (sic) on the black hole, but arises in the surrounding accretion flow.

Thanks for images Solrey....
So much hangs on this photographic project

. At the moment EU can say with great confidence "Black Holes" are theoretical constructs - but if they come up with the slightest hint of something they can fob off as a Black Hole then EU will be subjected to considerable attack. I'm really am concerned that this project can do more harm than good.

There are few obvious ways to pack stuff in so tightly. Four million suns would be a dead giveaway, for instance.
It already looks like 4 million suns.

If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe.

I can't wait to shred their work personally. Look at some of the logic already at work:
It could mean the relativity is radically wrong when it comes to super-strong gravity. And the monster at the centre of the galaxy will be even more shadowy than we thought. -
Coming soon: First pictures of a black hole
Its not that relativity would be "radically wrong" and hence the "model" should be scrapped, but that the mathemagical object should still exist anyway.

These 'singularity' constructs are the result of a mathematically invalid assumption by David Hilbert:
Hilbert's mistake spawned the black hole and the community of theoretical physicists continues to elaborate on this falsehood, with a hostile shouting down of any and all voices challenging them. Schwarzschild's solution has no black hole, and neither does Droste's solution. Schwarzschild's paper is a piece of flawless mathematical physics, but Hilbert's is a poor show. -
The Black Hole, the Big Bang, and Modern Physics
If their photographic techniques reveal any shadows it might be a shadow cast by the plasma-focused plasmoid on the surrounding "dust".
The result was frustrating. They did pick up emissions from the central region of Sagittarius A*, but they don't quite have enough information to get an unambiguous picture of it. "We have two models that fit the data," says Doeleman. In one, Sag A* looks like a doughnut with a hole in the middle, which may be the supermassive black hole. Unfortunately their observations also fit a simple blob of bright emissions, with no apparent black hole shadow.
There is no ' gravitational infalling gas' to speak of. The dynamic is one of Marklund convection scavenging dust from the region wherein it is accelerated up revealing the presence of The Double Helix Nebula. The crucial area in question however is the plasma-focused plasmoid and accompanying electromagnetic torus 'structure' called the "Circumnuclear Disk":
A trip to Galactic Center
It is a 'down the barrel' view through a massive Birkeland current.
"Our laws of force tend to be applied in the Newtonian sense in that for every action there is an equal reaction, and yet, in the real world, where many-body gravitational effects or electrodynamic actions prevail, we do not have every action paired with an equal reaction." — Harold Aspden

Yes the famous "gravitational infilling gas"!
However, Sgr A * is remarkably quite and dim as galaxy center black holes go. Normally we see no infrared and only very weak, fitful x-ray emission at it's position. Apparently the hole is being "starved" of infilling matter....Geoffrey Bower....and collegues recently determined the hole's intake to be less than a ten-millionth of a solar mass per year, a factor of 1,000 less than previous studies suggested. (from A trip to the Galactic Center)
Oh the pitfalls of Speculative Science
If it is a 'down the barrel' view through a massive Birkeland current
Then what a perfect result

and they will need much more than ad hoc excuses and speculation to explain it...

It was Albert Einstein who said insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Here is a Simulation of the results astronomers "hope to obtain".

If anyone has time for extra reading check out Stephen Crothers' battle with astronomers from the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Germany. Crothers challenges them on their claim that there is a Black Hole in Sag A*

He has got them in a tight corner but in their arrogance they are not squirming

Iv'e just posted another sjcrothers link. Isn't it astounding that Crothers' academic brilliance amounts to ziltch in the opinion of "official science".

The world at large is at a very perilous place in history. The Powers That Be, have no stomach for the truth. It is a victim of the Industrial/Military Complex and security clearence. False truth and the church of science florish in this climate. The unknowing public, continue to cough up the dough, over and over, blinded by the "science".
He blinded me with science, the song from the 80's comes to mind.

The world has always been a hard place to live in....I really think its been perilous since we handed power over to individuals - that is the root of the corruption we find and the cause of our servitude.

I say there is indeed hope if they
are in fact able to graphically depict the torus of the plasmoid. I'm hopeful that they will be able to do so as one of their 'models within a model' is the 'doughnut with a hole through the middle'.
That will be enough of a springboard for Thornhill and others to *yet again* digress on the physical characteristics of a z-pinch in progress, and there will be a lull in the murmur of arrogantly obtuse 'harumphing' going on for them to be heard.
What would be a helpful bit of 'hard evidence' at this time also, would be for someone with the background (and resources) of Dr. Peratt to step in and provide some equations that would mathematically depict the z-pinch that is our galaxy's heart, just to clinch it. Amplifying the dimensions off of equations for a lab-sized z-pinch would probably be accurate enough- even with very rough parameters of the conflagration at the galaxy's center- to provide a believable and convincing mathematical argument for the PC model.
I think that most modern publications like ScienceDaily, NewScientist, et all would have a field day with it- emboldened by the failure of the experiment designed to "show us" their favorite religious icon- they would overcome their fear of going against the mainstream just enough to put out the word "Could these plasma guys actually be right about this?"
One can hope, anyway!

Yes a Plasmoid - that's what we need to see!
And the seeds of doubt planted by the media would not go astray.
But here's nothing like a good controversy to sell a story. EU has not go to do something contraversial to attract the media attention. e.g. A $1,000,000 wager that Black Hole is not found. If you know anything of the history of The Goldbach Conjecture, Faber and Faber offered a $1,000,000 prize to anyone who proved Goldbach's conjecture between March 20, 2000 and March 20, 2002, but the prize went unclaimed and the conjecture remains open. The problem is now over 200 years old and Faber were confident the solution would be highly improbable and they would not have to part with the actual money.
