Lost Pets Find Their Way Home

Summary:
Our video today continues on themes we first discussed in the earlier
presentation,
"Extraordinary Creative & Psychic Powers of
Animals." For reasons unknown to conventional science, many lost
pets seem able to navigate their way home over unfamiliar grounds,
covering tremendous distances -- sometimes even thousands of miles.
I'd like to briefly explain why this subject is so important to me.
In my opinion, it's a fundamental mistake to label such phenomena
"paranormal" or "supernatural." By definition,
nothing exists outside of reality. Rather, a demonstration of the
seemingly "impossible", which to some includes psychic
and other so-called paranormal feats, simply reveals that one's
ideas about reality were never correct to begin with. Animals, like
humans, sometimes display psychic abilities because it's in their
nature to do so. Instead of denying the evidence -- as many
pseudo-skeptics have done in response to the widely-acclaimed
research of Dr. Rupert Sheldrake -- the onus is on scientists
to integrate the phenomena into a better, and frankly more realistic,
understanding of the universe.
I see much more to this issue than mere "anecdotal" evidence
for ESP and psychic phenomena -- although science will ultimately have
no choice but to confront such evidence. The existence of these
abilities in animals is just another example of how medieval our
notions about these creatures have proved to be, and likewise, our
notions about the essence of human beings.
