Because "wormholes" are derivations of the black hole theory, they are not part of Electric Universe physics. Wormholes are supposed to be connections between the event horizons of two black hole infundibulae at different points in space-time.

For some unknown reason, Kip Thorne (and others) has speculated that matter won't be destroyed by the inertia and so-called "tidal shearing" forces that (supposedly) exist at or near the event horizon. Instead, at the moment of maximum space-time compaction, an information pattern is received by the second event horizon. Whatever entered the first wormhole exits the second. Matter and energy are preserved with a zero interval transit time.

This is science fiction. Thorne's book dealing with this stuff has an illustration of him sticking his arm in one side of a wormhole and showing it exiting the other side 10 feet away. This is the kind of thing that the "best" of the university-trained cosmogonists can come up with? Hell, I could come up with better space-time conduits if I was a perfesser o' fizziks.

Hi JrrToshkien:
In addition to what Steve (eminent perfesser o' fizziks) Smith wrote, I might add that since a wormhole is a blackhole (entrance) in one part of the universe connected to a white hole (exit) in another part, it is considered to be a mathematical fancy in the electric model.
Observations conventionally attributed to the presence of a blackhole have simpler explanations in the Electric Universe. There is no need for the unrealistic assumption that matter can be compressed infinitely into a point.
Check out some of these EU links pertaining to Black Holes (the same logic applies to the Wormhole concept):

For me, it doesn't even make for interesting science fiction since scifi is supposed to deal with speculations based on science or technology, and blackholes/wormholes belong to the realm of impossible fantasy.

However, the electric universe does create science fiction speculations which can generate ftl speeds possibly.

For example, riding on ships that can use the electric potential of a known current and can 'ride' the current.

This coupled with the ability to truly understand and compensate for inertial effects using charges and frequencies might present itself a viable form of space travel.

However, we are certainly not going to get there using 'dark energy'.
