Building an Electric U. Glossary - care to help?

Many Internet forums have carried discussion of the Electric Universe hypothesis. Much of that discussion has added more confusion than clarity, due to common misunderstandings of the electrical principles. Here we invite participants to discuss their experiences and to summarize questions that have yet to be answered.

Building an Electric U. Glossary - care to help?

Post by Liam S » Tue Jun 16, 2009 6:11 am

Greetings,

I want to build a Glossary/definitions page.

I approach from the perspective of wanting More, not less technical understanding. Hence, a glossary - and I know there has been discussion of this already.

Here's what I'm needing/wanting a list of, and how I would like to put it together.

IE - How it could/might/should go, from my perspective (for my needs) - (note, what I don't know will be noted 'question mark' ????) - words in the glossary will be underlines or marked):

Stars:

Our Sun
- An electric star in the (??) size range, in the milky way galaxy, powered by the galaxial circuit, coming in from (??), through its north and south poles (?) which function as cathodes (??) in the electrical circuit. A mass of streaming negatively (positively?) charged electrons (?) streams in on amplified (?) Birkeland currents (?) or Alfven waves (?) and reach the Corona where they (you tell me why) create immense heat and light (?? reason??), up to 3 (?) 4 (?) 400 times (?) the heat on the Sun's surface. Electric tornadoes and vortexes cover the suns surface driven by (?? you tell me what ) electrical force generated by the (??). For more on the Sun, see the INDEXED TBlogs and TPods...

Birkeland Current - A streaming current in space that crosses solar systems and galaxies. The current is formed of a twisted braid of two streams of (?electrons, ionized matter of all sorts? of what? don't just say 'plasma') that carry electric current in the form of (electrons, positrons, both?) from (?from???) and to stars and planets in the galactic circuit. [blog INDEX]

Z-Pinch - Not what your Aunt does to your cheeks, no, this pinch occurs between the magnetized oppositional currents (??) in an electrified plasma stream. REAL WORLD examples of a Z-pinch are found... etc.

Plasma - Named for the blood in your veins, this plasma is the fourth state of matter, and the most abundant form of material in the known universe. It is formed of (IT IS FORMED OF???) atoms, molecules, that are run through with an electrical charge, and carried on electric currents, whose source is (?? unknown?), that run through the solar system, and across all space. Plasma lives in one of three modes: dark current, where it resembles (?), glow mode, like a flourescent light or, in space, a Nebula (?? or???) see EXAMPLE LINKED, and arc mode, like a coronal loop (?), like the light of an arc welder, or in space please see these HELPFUL EXAMPLES.

ETC. Brief, but clear enough, with links to further, more elaborate research. But brief enough! And no talk of "because first it was the plasma" or anything like that.

DEFINITIONS for those doing research, with real-world cosmological and earthly examples.

AND Admissions of WHAT IS NOT KNOWN, but what is HYPOTHESIZED, and THEORIZED in E.Uni. model...

If any of you want to work on this with me, write me privately, and we'll work on it.

My list so far:

From the E.U. perspective:

Stars:
Our Sun,
Birkeland Current,
Z-Pinch,
Plasma,
Plasmoid,
Double Layer,
Langmuir sheath,
Coronal Mass Ejection
Corona,

Sunspot, penumbra, etc,

Galaxial:
Plasma Storm/Dragon Storm,
Nebula,
Neutron Star (versus Homopolar Electric Motor),
Quasar,
Radio-Galaxy,
Supernova,
Galaxy birth,
Star birth,

Star Chart (your version versus theirs)

Basic Electrical Engineering/chemistry:
Cathode/Anode,
electron, positron,
proton,
atom,
neutron,
neutrino,

'Weather':
Solar vortex/tornado,
Tornado/dust devil,
Lightning (of course, lightning!! just a basic description of the electrical process)

Planets:
Rocky planet
Planet Birthing
Gas Giant/Brown Dwarf,

Geology:
Nippled Crater
Rill,
Dendrit/ic Ridge
Moon/Martian 'Glass'
Martian 'Blueberries'

Vals Marineris/Grand Canyon,

Tectonics,
subduction,
aethenosphere, lithosphere,
pangea, rodinia, etc,

Versus E.U. model

Big Bang 'creations/inventions':

Black hole (and lack of force (gravity/mass) that requires invention of)
Neutron Star,
'Gravity' Supernova (versus plasma discharge of varying intensity?)
'Dark Matter'

And whatever I've missed!

Again, if you want to work with me on this, send me AN EMAIL (not a private message). You can also contact me through my webpage:

* Hi Liam. I think this topic should probably be moved to the Resources board. Anyway, good to meet a fellow organizer. I started something similar here a couple years ago, but didn't get much help, so I didn't get very far.
* I think the easiest way to proceed is to take an existing science dictionary or encyclopedia and revise the definitions one-by-one when needed.
* I found this one online that seems pretty good: http://science.jrank.org
* I copied all the topics and listed them here: http://sci.lefora.com/forum/category/glossary/page1
* The topics include all branches of science, as well as math, so we'd need to go through them and delete those that don't belong to astronomy, geology, physics, or some aspects of chemistry.
* They're listed in alphabetical order. We could go through them and mark which branch of science each topic belongs to. Then we could organize the glossary or encyclopedia both alphabetically and by branch of science and by divisions, whatever seems best.
* I also started a science encyclopedia etc at http://askus.wikispaces.com so there's a lot there that may be of help.
* Also, Ian Tressman has an EU encyclopedia website, which would also be very helpful. I don't remember if it's called plasma-cosmology or what. Will someone remind me of the name?
* Oh, here it is: http://www.plasmacosmology.net/tech.html
* If you get several volunteers, we could divide up the work. I have spare time once in a while.

Hi Liam:

There is a excellent resource available, while it doesn't have every term, it does cover a lot of ground, and what is even better is that each entry has documentation at the bottom of the screen page. See link below:

http://www.plasma-universe.com/index.ph ... l:Allpages

Ian Tresman runs it and will allow entries to be added just like Wikipedia (except without the political hassle).

Ian is a Plasma Cosmology supporter :)

Please check out, The Plasma Universe Wikipedia-like Encyclopedia, it has been very helpful to me by providing linkable authority in the course of many online debates

Actually, because of Ian's website I have been able to move the discussion beyond the usual "first objections" that always seem to crop up in debating Plasma Cosmology :)

* I went through my lists and deleted everything I think isn't so relevant to E.U. theory. So the topics can be compared with Ian Tresman's topics and worked on some more. Here are my 2 modified lists.
