Interesting.
This near death researcher has drawn a connection between consciousness and electricity.

Obviously he believes consciousness is non-local to the brain, as do I.
He proposes that consciousness interacts with the physical brain through finely differentiated structures of minute oscillating electric dipoles.

To be honest, I think only materialists believe otherwise but it's nice to see academic work questioning that paradigm.michael.suede wrote:Obviously he believes consciousness is non-local to the brain, as do I.

It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong.
- Richard P. Feynman
Normal science does not aim at novelties of fact or theory and, when successful, finds none.

Re: Consciousness, NDEs and The Electrical Connection
Under current mainstream science we are led to compartmentalize the energies of the universe, ie. weak force, strong force, nuclear, electrical, etc. Are the energies of the universe naturally separate and distinct? We know that magnetism CANNOT exist unless or until an electric current flows or has at least flowed at one time. So we have these two supposedly distinct and separate forms of energy but in reality the one, magnetism, is but a derivative or a residual energy of the action of another form of energy, electricity.
So, for me, the question then becomes, what of light? If electricity is "superior" to or a "progenitor" for magnetism, would light be superior to electricity? Is light the "progenitor" of electricity? Is plasma a sort of "intermediary" between light and electricity?
Hmmm... lots of questions.

I am so not a scientist in any way, shape or form and this may come across as totally simple to those of you who are, but my gut tells me nothing is superior, only conducive. And perception is based on frequency of vibration.
