Archeoastronomy conference in Arizona

Unread post by james weninger » Mon Jun 01, 2009 8:03 pm

Hi,
There is an interesting conference on archeoastronomy in the Southwest : http://www.caasw.org/agenda.html
I will be attending, with an eye out for more evidence of EU theory. The Chaco Canyon and Picture Canyon spirals are particularly interesting. If anyone has any questions, comments, etc, let me know before June 10. Otherwise I'll report back with anything interesting when I get back.
Jim

I should add a reminder too: The Conference on Precession and Ancient Knowledge is in Irvine CA on October 10 this year. Robert Temple (author of "The Sirius Mystery") will be there, among others. Another conference where it would be nice to have more EU theorists.

Check out the "net-like design" at http://www.petroglyphs.us/photographs_p ... nia_PC.htm Compare it to a picture of the double helix nebula. Also note the snake carvings at the same site. Also check out http://www.solsticeproject.org/lunarmark.htm for spiral petroglyphs. And if you think the ancient Native American population was unaware of magnetism, you may be as surprized as I was to find that they used pieces of magnetized metorites to line up some of the structures at these sites.
The archeoastronomers I talked to at the convention insisted that the alignments at these sites were made to match solar and lunar rising positions. Now think about this. Are solar and lunar rising points based on Earth's magnetic North-South axis? Or are they determined by the Earth's physical spin axis?
Here is my question for you (and I don't have any answer): If these sites do in fact display astronomical events, like the 1054 supernova, why did the builders bother with magnetic alignments at these sites?

James,

Appreciate your sharing of the conference coverage.
Do you have some more material on the "magnetic alignments at these sites" ?

Thanks,
