Birkeland Current Width as a Standard Ruler
Do stellar and galactic Birkeland Currents have approximate standard widths? If so, we could use them as a way to measure distances to luminous, far away, celestial objects. I am thinking since lightning on Earth has roughly a standard width, maybe stellar objects do, too.
Unless you ask, the answer is always "No".
