This filament, and they do refer to it as a filament, is composed of the ‘structures’ formerly considered to form the 150yr old Gould’s Belt theory. According to the data and methodologies in this study Gould’s Belt simply doesn't exist. Instead, all prior observations, papers, and theories were literally looking along the undulating length of an extensive Sinusoidal Filament as it crossed the heavens at only 500 light years away from the solar system. A filament, that the solar system may have interacted with billions of years ago and supposedly will interact with again at some distant time into the future.

That is amazing.
