A new theory published in the APS physics journal seeks to explain the origin and proliferation of dark matter through the introduction of a simple concept: what if dark matter can turn regular matter into dark matter?
YIKES!!!
There seems to be far too much dark matter in the universe. Residual dark matter from the Big Bang or whatever doesn’t quite explain how the stuff seems to be everywhere.
Now why haven’t I heard THAT problem before?

New theory suggests dark matter can create new dark matter from regular matter

… snip …

The theorists begin by citing prior research which suggests that some amount of dark matter was created as part of the 'thermal bath'—where primordial plasma made of regular matter begat dark matter particles—but not the amount that is believed to exist today. They suggest that at some point dark matter particles began making more dark matter particles out of regular particles. And the new dark matter particles were also able to create new dark matter particles out of regular particles.

The reearchers note that under such a scenario, it would seem that eventually there would be nothing left in the universe but dark matter particles. The reason this hasn't happened, they suggest, is because of the rapid expansion of the universe. In the early days, everything was close together making it easy for dark matter to come into contact with regular matter and convert it. But as time wore on, things moved farther and farther away as part of the expansion—and that made instances of dark matter coming across regular matter rarer. This expansion slowed the conversion of regular matter to dark matter, leaving us with the amount that is believed to exist today.

The team has built a model that shows that such a theory can explain the amounts of dark matter believed to currently exist—and they further claim that their theories can be tested. If their ideas are right, they contend, there should be an observable fingerprint left behind in the cosmic background radiation—all that needs to be done now, they note, is to find it.
They can just hear the K’Ching, K’Ching, K’Ching! A sweet sound to their gnomish ears.

And here’s the actual paper …

Dark Matter from Exponential Growth

We propose a novel mechanism for the production of dark matter (DM) from a thermal bath based on the idea that DM particles χ can transform heat bath particles ψ: χψ → χχ. For a small initial abundance of χ, this leads to an exponential growth of the DM number density in close analogy to other familiar exponential growth processes in nature. We demonstrate that this mechanism complements freeze-in and freeze-out production in a generic way, opening new parameter space to explain the observed DM abundance, and we discuss observational prospects for such scenarios.
Can you say gobbledegook?

I say it’s an epicycle layered on other epicycles.

Prove me wrong.

Still, watch the evolution of ideas that they present:
We know that dark mode filaments as Don Scott modeled, can hide from view in a number of ways. I’ll recap at the end. But we also know that both neutral matter, and charged matter NOT in a minimum energy configuration, can be seen quite clearly. So the exchange here is important.

Recap: if we have charged material in a minimum energy configuration as Don Scott models, it is in fact “dark”, except for its gravitational effects! No radiation from charge following magnetic field lines, no recombination if electrons and different ions are sorted into shells, and even the neutral matter, is forced out in the Marklund convection model. Even the effects of Faraday rotation, get cancelled in those reversing magnetic fields of his model. Yet what must happen due to all the matter in these filaments? Simple gravitational effects.

All I’m getting at, is don’t ignore the mainstream “dark matter” observations. They might not know what they are seeing, but they are seeing this. Let them map the “clumps” and “strings” of “dark matter” as well as they can. Their observations will help us map out both charged segregated regions, and Birkeland currents.

Yes, agree ... which is why I've been noting observations they claim are due to dark matter and pointing out the alternative.

Looks like this gnome is still kicking.

Dark matter may spawn more of itself from ordinary matter, like a cosmic ice-9

Dark matter, one of weirdest substances in the universe, just got weirder.

Turns out, this mysterious (and invisible) material could multiply by converting garden-variety matter into more dark matter, like some kind of cosmic ice-9, researchers reported Nov. 3 in the journal Physical Review Letters.

"We were just wondering, could you make dark matter exponentially grow based on its abundance?" Joshua Ruderman, a particle physicist at New York University and co-author of the Physical Review Letters paper, told Live Science. "And we realized a simple way to do it."
Now think about that for a moment, folks. Dark Matter proponents haven’t a clue what Dark Matter really is … not a clue. They’ve been looking for it for more than 50 years, positing one gnome after another … NONE of which have panned out. They’ve spent billions and billions of YOUR dollars looking for it … to no avail. So the truth is that they haven’t REALLY got a clue what it is, folks. It’s all just *belief* ... and a con job to keep you shelling out the money to look for it. So when this particular *physicist* thinks he know how to “do it”, he’s LYING. Because he doesn’t even know what “it” is. His only goal is to keep the money flowing. And the MSM (especially outlets like MSN) are more than happy to help ... as they are with all establishment lies.
