Magic at the beginning of time ...

The mainstream has failed to find dark matter and failed to explain much of what we can now see through our telescopes.

So some researchers have introduced a theory that will allow them to not have to explain what they’re seeing or find dark matter.

If you boil it down, they’re basically suggesting there was a period of MAGIC at the beginning of the universe.

Humanity keeps waiting for the big announcement. For them to tell us they’ve discovered what dark matter and dark energy are … that they’ve finally identified the particle or force or whatever it might be that explains everything. That now we can use it to ... well ... do something. Most of the public has been patiently patiently as they've poured billions and then more billions into the search. But I think what’s happening now is that they are starting to look for ways to exit the trap they’'ve built for themselves. As the OP article shows, they are starting to suggest scenarios where they won’t have to find out what dark matter is … so instead they can spend billions trying to understand the *magic* that once was.

The same goes for Dark energy. Here’s an article suggesting that it’s going away too.

The Mysterious ‘Dark’ Energy That Permeates the Universe Is Slowly Eroding

… snip …

If dark energy is weakening, it can’t be a cosmological constant. Instead, it may be the same sort of field that many cosmologists think sparked a moment of exponential expansion during the universe’s birth. This kind of “scalar field” could fill space with an amount of energy that looks constant at first—like the cosmological constant—but eventually starts to slip over time.

“If this holds up, it could light the way to a new, potentially deeper understanding of the universe,” Riess said. “The next few years should be very revealing.”
Which means they aren’t giving up on gnomes at all. They just need a new set of gnomes to replace the worn out set they’ve lived off of the past 4 decades. Then they can start the whole cycle of grift all over again. K'ching. K'ching.
