Planetary Cataclysms by Archaeologist Peter Jupp

Unread post by Brigit » Fri Mar 22, 2024 8:40 pm

Thunderbolts contributor Peter Mungo Jupp has made memorable documentaries on archaeological, paleontological and astronomical events from an Electric Universe perspective.

His many Picture of the Day articles and Space News presentations are daring and risk asking some of the most important questions about how past interplanetary electric discharges may have affected civilizations, plant and animal species, and the landscape around us.

We're lucky to have our own Australian film maker who explores these topics and shares incredible interviews with interesting and exciting guests, including Wallace Thornhill himself, Prof. Ted Bryant, and author Adrienne Mayor.

Peter Jupp has also visited and filmed on location in such enigmatic ancient sites as Baalbek, the La Brea Tarpits, and even the Mediterranean island of Malta, where apparently duty also called.

Two of his films are featured on Rumble now.

Here is one of his Space News episodes from 2018.

Electric Comets in an Electric Universe | Space News
March 29, 2018 - 10:53
https://www.thunderbolts.info/wp/2018/0 ... pace-news/

"In Part 1 of this presentation, Thunderbolts contributor archaeologist Peter Mungo Jupp began his comprehensive analysis of the nature of comets, including the electric universe perspective that comets are not four-and-half billion-year-old icy leftovers of the early solar system. Included in his analysis, Jupp presented outtakes of his interview with physicist Wal Thornhill, recorded a few years ago, discussing Thornhill’s perspective on the electrical nature of comets. In this episode, we begin with further clips from Thornhill’s discussion as he explains why the notion of comets as sublimating ice balls cannot explain most comet activity."

In the Electric Universe, comets, asteroids and centaurs are not icy leftovers from a nebular disk. They are rocky remnants torn from the surfaces of the planets by electric plasma discharges, in relatively recent events within the Solar System.

And since, as the Electric Universe has published all along, comets and asteroids are remnants of the surfaces of the planets which were torn from their crusts in a period of relatively recent planetary instability, it's rather funny that they should say this:

"Scientists are working hard to analyze samples of the potentially hazardous asteroid Bennu, with early results suggesting it may even be a chunk of an ancient water world."

There must be a hell of alot of mars rock out there, considering that massive scar. Wondering if we can make out the redish colour of rocks in the Asteroid belt between mars and Jupiter.

Indeed; I wonder if we'll ever be able to work out how much, bearing in mind that in addition to making up a lot (most?) of the asteroid belt a fair amount probably received enough energy to leave the solar system, more could have been swept up by the other planets (especially Jupiter), and some possibly became what we now call comets.

I suspect given the height map of Mars (average 6km elevation difference of South over North) and the "one pole becomes anode and the other cathode" model that most of the material comes not from Valles Marineris but most of the Northern hemisphere, although much of that would then have been dumped onto the Southern hemisphere.

Which would then mean virtually nothing on Mars resembles what it used to be like >~100K years ago; maybe some small spots around the Equator if we're lucky.

There are several hundred meteorites discovered on Earth that are considered as candidates for having a Martian origin.
