"New" crater on Mars

Unread post by jackokie » Sat Apr 02, 2022 10:52 pm

MSN has published an item about a new crater discovered on Mars, they say likely formed from an impact between February 2006 and March 2014. The resolution of the image in the article is not very good, so it was difficult to determine any evidence of electric discharge machining. It also raised the question, if it had been formed by EDM should it have been detected on Earth or by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on station since March, 2006?

I'll see if I can find an image with better resolution. Thoughts?
