Read that article, folks, if you want to waste your time.Astronomers spotted shock waves shaking the web of the universe for the first time
Your first clue this is junk science will be the repeated use of the word “gas” and no mention of the word “plasma”.
Second, they proclaim that “Tugged by gravity, galaxy clusters merge, filaments collide, and gas from the voids falls onto filaments and clusters.” Gravity and gas, gravity and gas, gravity and gas. They can't look beyond the end of their noses.
Third, they pretend that the filaments that “make up most of the cosmic web” are not something they ever denied to be the case. But mainstream astrophysics certainly did. Just ask their supporters like Higgsy who not long ago showed resistance to the idea that filaments were as ubiquitous as they are now admitting daily.
Fourth, you’ll find there is no mention of what electric currents do to plasma … that they form filaments, create magnetic fields, cause radio emissions … been polarized emissions. In other words, vague ideas of *shockwaves* aren't needed to explain their observations.
Fifth, they says this:
You see? They have no clue what’s going out there. None whatsoever. They admit that they don’t know where the magnetic fields come from and can’t conceive of the fact that they come from electric currents traveling through the IONIZED PLASMA of filaments and in doing so creating exactly the sort of helical winding and interactions between filaments observed out there.“These shocks,” Brüggen says, “are really able to show that there are large-scale magnetic fields that form [something] like a sheath around these filaments.”
He, van Weeren and Vernstrom all note that it’s still an open question how cosmic magnetic fields arose in the first place. The role these fields play in shaping the cosmic web is equally mysterious.
They are clueless BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO BE CLUELESS. They know that if they now admit the obvious, the cash cow scam they’ve had going for 40-50 years dies. Then they’ll have work an honest job ... maybe one that actually matters in the scope of things, instead of continuing to pursue gnomes that even were they true wouldn’t improve life here on earth for us, our kids and their kids’ kids one iota. It's all about their houses, their cars, their vacations, their retirement plans ... not about truth or science or any grand notion. It's shameless greed couched in high rhetoric.
