This is a deceptive title …

NASA scientists create black hole jets with supercomputer
... because it gives one the impression that the scientists managed to "create” the jets from first principles. But no, read the paper, https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3 ... 881/ac4d23, and you find that they didn’t model the source and formation of the jets. They simply *created* them in their simulations by essentially spraying material out in a cone on both sides of the few cells that are supposed to represent the galaxy core in the simulation. Plasma is mentioned all of 3 times, electromagnetism isn’t mentioned at all, and neither is electric current.
