.Neutron Stars Could Capture Dark Matter and Help Unlock Its Mysteries
… snip …
New research, published in the journal Physical Review Letters, suggests a framework that scientists could use to employ neutron stars as "natural dark matter detectors."
And you know who published this *research*? Why, Melbourne University, home of the “Center of Excellence for Dark Matter", of course: https://pursuit.unimelb.edu.au/articles ... ark-matter . And what these gnome loving *scientists* are suggesting is that DM will heat old, cold neutron stars to a level we might detect. Sounds expensive. Why they might build a new center just for that!
What I find particularly funny is that they suggest neutron stars might trap dark matter … say they discovered this by “altering calculations of how fast the dark matter accumulates in neutron stars”, yet they haven’t a clue what DM is! So how can they do such calculations? It’s a ridiculous claim on it’s face.
And, of course, wthey don’t actually have proof that neutron stars, as the mainstream envisions them, exist, either. They are inferred. They are just a gnome. Hence, stacking a gnome on a gnome. Just saying ...
