The mainstream solar model fails again....

A decade’s worth of telescope observations of the sun have revealed a startling mystery: Gamma rays, the highest frequency waves of light, radiate from our nearest star seven times more abundantly than expected. Stranger still, despite this extreme excess of gamma rays overall, a narrow bandwidth of frequencies is curiously absent.

The surplus light, the gap in the spectrum, and other surprises about the solar gamma-ray signal potentially point to unknown features of the sun’s magnetic field, or more exotic physics.

“It’s amazing that we were so spectacularly wrong about something we should understand really well: the sun,” said Brian Fields, a particle astrophysicist at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
The problem is that they don't actually understand our sun at all, hence the botched gamma ray estimates. Nothing like being off by almost an order of magnitude to demonstrate that your model is BS. There's no "narrow bandwidth" because it's an electrically generated feature that relates back to the electrical discharges occurring in the solar atmosphere. They will never understand the solar atmosphere using MRx theories, a concept that Alfven referred to as "pseudoscience" till the day he died. They won't understand gamma ray output based on cosmic rays either, because that isn't the primary source of gamma rays to start with.

The Sun
What do we know?

Core inner core
Core outer core
Solar envelope
Solar surface.

Core inner possibly a condensate of Neutrons compacted to a very high density. Over 90% of the solar system mass and resonate via Chiral Supersymmetry 65 % of the solar energy expelling via dipolar electromagnetic vector fields Neutrons that once away from confinement gain an electron forming a proton.

Core outer core a transition of atoms breaking down via photo disintegration into Neutrons and Protons. Protons lose and electron and change to Neutrons. Neutrons enter the core.

Solar envelope fusion process making up all the Elements up to Fe a closed shells, other elements form above Fe, but eventually break down to Fe and other elements.

Solar surface as we know it
I could be wrong

Is that not a description of the Failed sun Theory?

Smile

It’s funny that some people say failure without explanation.

What happens in the inner core of the Sun is most important, since it has 95% of the solar system mass.
65% of the solar energy
Dipolar electromagnetic fields that give matter and turbulence from the core.

No explanation is needed. Those that are familiar with the background of Electric Universe literature (The Electric Sky, by Scott, for example) know exactly what is meant by the expression "Failed sun Theory."
Those that are not familiar with that literature should not be participating in this or similar threads until they have made themselves familiar with the literature. Once familiar with that literature, then it is acceptable to post criticisms.

This comment seems to suggest that you are promoting your own personal theory or another theory which you favor.
Keep in mind that the "Electric Universe" board on the Thunderbolts Forum is reserved for discussion of the material published by the theorists of the Thunderbolts team. It is not the place for independent theorizing.
The place for that is on the "New Insights and Mad Ideas" board.
The NIAMI board provides forum members with a great deal of flexibility to express their support for their own personal theory or a favored theory, which is not necessarily that which is supported by the Thunderbolts team.

I'm rejoined since a couple of years back on the older forum....had to get my little 2 cents in today - did anybody realize that the science world has suddenly started recognizing MAGNETISM - that little word had begun to pop up in mainstream all-things-Cosmos suddenly since about 3 years ago but yesterday was a good day : "The North Polar Spur and the Fan Region, on opposite sides of the sky, may be connected by a vast system of magnetized filaments. These form a structure resembling a tunnel that circles the Solar System, and many nearby stars besides." per : ===https://www.sciencealert.com/earth-may- ... tunnel==== !!!!

Couldn't open your link.

Try this one: https://www.sciencealert.com/earth-may- ... tic-tunnel.

Very interesting.

Probably deserves a thread all it's own.

UPDATE:

Here’s another link to an article by the university hosting this research: https://www.utoronto.ca/news/u-t-astron ... lar-system , and a link to the scientific paper authored by the discoverer, Jennifer West, et al: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2109.14720.pdf . The paper contains a lot more details about the discovery and is quire interesting.

What a shame, however, that the authors appear to be a mainstream gnome believers. They don’t mention electric or Birkland currents, although at one point they do state “We still do not fully understand the origin and evolution of regular magnetic fields in galaxies and how this field is maintained. In this picture, where long-lived filaments are elongated along the field lines, they could be one source where electrons are trapped, and contribute to maintaining such a regular field (Heiles 1998).” Electrons. So close ... so far. And the lead author, Jennifer West is quoted in the utoronto paper saying “Magnetic fields don’t exist in isolation”. So close to the truth but yet still so far, since the author appears to believe in “frozen-in” fields and all the other nonsense that mainstream astrophysics universities teach. Maybe an obstacle to her understanding is that the paper doesn’t even contain the word “plasma”? Wonder what she thinks these filaments are made of if not plasma?

Or maybe the obstacle is the insistence (assumption?) in the paper and model that the filaments are parallel. They came close to breaking this preconception at one point on pages 13 and 14 of the paper, when talking about the North Polar Spur (NPS) and two other loops (IX and Is). They observed that brightness gradients along the length of the filaments “could be due to variations in magnetic field orientation” and that filaments inclined to the galactic plane 30 degrees show a better correspondence between model and data. Then, importantly, they state “This could be produced if the filaments consist of a bundle of finer filaments with a twisted or helical structure”. OH … OH SO CLOSE. But then they go on to say “even though the case where β = 30◦ shows a better correspondence for the brightness along the NPS, we choose to discuss the β = 0◦ case for the remainder of this paper." They just can’t look past the blinders, can they? What a shame. But I do love the author being quoted at the end of the article saying something at end which only a decade or two ago would have resulted in absolute derision from other gnome believers: “I think it’s just awesome to imagine that these structures are everywhere whenever we look up into the night sky.:)

Thank you BeAChooser for your input - I was quite giddy with happiness on seeing that article...the point is really that somebody is at last admitting that all those long twirled strings up there visible via different frequencies are something they actually CAN understand, instead of all refusing to accept anything but the mainstream view. The change has to start somewhere after all, and this is the very first hint of that ! Now we will see how long it takes for the whole paradigm shift - or do we get yet more mathematical excuses for their lost 'dark matter' ???

There will be lots of kicking and screaming for sure!
In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. -Buckminster Fuller
