Electric rockets

After discovering The Thunderbolts a year ago and latching onto the E.U. model I've fantasized about NASA developing a space vehicle that could enter low earth orbit via a Birkeland current and then hitch a ride on a plasma filament to explore the solar system and beyond. Space exploration would then become fast, fun, friendly and fiscally feasible.

Now we need an Elon Musk type person to join the Electric Universe and make electric rockets as common as Tesla cars.
