If it was a law of physics, they would be researching it - how can nothing form an Universe, can the phenomenon just repeat itself? We have an infinity of infinitesimal small points in a bottle of wine. Why no Universe?
Of course it's not researched because it's not a phenomenon that happens because of phyisical laws, it's a miracle. They prefer miracle than to say "I don't know". Also creation myths usually have better stories, we could just use those, without pretending to do science.
