Christchurch Earthquake aftershocks & electric solar system

Post by RayTomes » Sun Sep 19, 2010 9:36 pm

There have been hundreds of aftershocks of the recent Christchurch earthquake. The intervals between these are commonly 3 minutes or multiples, 8 minutes and 40 minutes. The spacing of the inner planets is 3 light minutes each from the Sun. Earth is 8 light minutes from Sun. Jupiter is 40 light minutes from the Sun. Earthquakes are clearly related to electric phenomena in the Solar System.

Resonance. Like biophotons convey information, so too the Sun transfers information in the form of all the vibrations that are happening to the Sun at a particular time. The harmonics of these vibrations set up standing waves in the solar system and the planets orbit in accordance with these standing waves, but also they are electrically persuaded from approaching their nearest neighbour. The Earth vibrates in harmony with the Sun too.

I was reading ...

Adrift on Robinson Crusoe Island, the forgotten few

When the wave struck, islanders were abandoned to their fate. Patrick Bodenham reports from the Juan Fernandez archipelago.

Thursday, 9 December 2010

It struck me, as the article shows, that having an institutional based warning system (as NASA Big Business / DoD suggests we put in place) that is reliant on a political and technologically complex system to provide warnings might not be able to cut it in our increasingly chaotic environment.

The development of a local based, independent network of sensors would be more robust. This would use geomagnetic Science to create a sensor that can pick up the electromagnetic precursor of an Earthquake. The sensors would be distributed to each community. EMP before the quake would be measured using Schumann resonances and other indicators. The islanders in this case would have this local sensor to warn them which would not be dependent on a worldwide network. This makes a lot of sense because it was a twelve year old girl that eventually warned the islanders with a gong. The actual "early warning network" had got lost in the bureaucracy even though they had a valid warning to give out that would have given the islanders an hours notice.

Spacecraft Saw ULF Radio Emissions over Haiti before January Quake
A French satellite observed a dramatic increase in ultra low frequency radio waves over Haiti in the month before the M7.0 earthquake earlier this year.
Now Michael Athanasiou at the Technical University of Serres in Greece and a few buddies say that DEMETER spotted good of evidence of a change in ultralow frequency radio waves in the ionosphere above Haiti in the run up to the quake. "The results reveal a significant increase of the energy of ULF waves, up to 360%, for a period of one month before the main earthquake compared with the energy of the background," they say. That's a dramatic increase. These emissions dropped gradually in the month after the quake.

How far and how fast does an earthquake of 7.9 richter scale travel through a relatively dense medium? Would there be a difference in speed and distance for continental and oceanic crust? Would appreciate a range of numbers and back up sources if possible. Thank you!

Interesting was that the largest solar flare and mass coronal ejection( CURIOUSLY 6 MONTHS LATER ) of all time was recorded in 1859 that corresponds to Turkey's huge earthquake of the same year ( the biggest for them of that century) with the death of 16,000 people. Also the mega storm of that year in England ( again the largest of the entire century made famous by the sinking of the ship" royal charter ") that saw the sinking of around 150 ships and death of 800 people ( unrelated phenomena ?????) Massive Synchrotron radiation from the Sun ( broadband EU waves inc x rays ) seems to affect weather and earthquake initiations. This of course we could speculate is fuelled by planetry configurations any way . But this is a complex scenario.

Also of interest is the latest Antarctic expedition that has discovered a bi daily 7 on the richter scale earthquake circa the DOME staion of Western Antarctica . They are researching ice melt under the snow. Must think about this one but seeing the Antarctic and arctic are the seat of the earth's magnetoshere with i suppose the earthing of the Sun Earth relatinship electically this may be a phenomena that should get our minds thinking ?????

DISCOVERY MAGAZINE
As planes ferry us back to McMurdo on the first leg of our trip home, Tulaczyk and Pettersson open their laptops at every opportunity to peek at the data they’ve collected so far.
"The GPS stations have tracked the movement of the Whillans Ice Stream and confirmed a curious fact: The Whillans sits still most of the time. Twice per day it lurches into motion, slipping 18 inches forward across its entire 5,000-square-mile expanse. That slip corresponds to ocean tides lifting up and setting down the Ross Ice Shelf. (The Ross acts as a brake that holds the ice sheet back; its tension is released at these twice-daily moments.)
The seismometers that we planted show the curvy peaks of ice quakes occurring each time the glacier lurches. Several months after we return home, another team will report in the journal Nature that these twice-daily ice quakes( OBVIOUSLY CONNECTED TO ICE FLOW LURCH---MY COMMENT) measure a staggering magnitude 7—strong enough to topple cities and kill thousands if they were to happen in a populated area. Only because the quakes occur in slow motion were we not tumbled out of bed every morning during our stay on the ice sheet. Tula¬czyk’s own calculations put them at a more modest magnitude 4, still large enough to jostle jars of honey off kitchen shelves in Los Angeles or San Francisco."

explain all this my tectonic plate guhrus .Isn't that the cause of earthquakes???? Of course not.Tectonic plates are merely an observation not an explanation

The speed depends on first which type of earthquake wave you are referring to and second the medium through which it passes.

P waves travel between as little as 6 km/sec and as great as 14 km/sec.

You can read about P waves here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-wave.

You can also get a better understanding of seismic waves from here: http://qvsdata.wordpress.com/learning-l ... iss-helis/

A 7.9 quake would ring all the seismos in the world, possible more than once especially if it was a deep quake.

As an example the quake in Tonga today was a 6.1. The travels times can be viewed here: http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/bulletin/neic_b0001d15_t.html. You can see from this that the wave took 15 minutes approx to reach London and Rome.

Oops. Either I misread that or they changed it to 19 minutes. It is just in the shadow zone.

I was watching a Russian spacewalk on the International Space Station a few days ago which installed the RK-21-8 SVCh-Radiometria experiment. Got me thinking about the electromagnetism of earthquakes. Then I saw this.

Satellite project to predict earthquakes will 'help save lives'
"As stress builds up in the Earth prior to an earthquake, subtle electromagnetic signals are released that can be read from the upper atmosphere," said Professor Alan Smith, Director of the Mullard Space Science Laboratory at University College, London, who was in Moscow this week to launch the project.
Makes me proud to be British

I hope the New Zealand people get all the help they can. Of course this is an example of why the Scientists that are linking earthquake prediction to electrical activity are doing such good work.
