Re: Are Constellation Stars A Polar Configuration?
No. A constellation is a chance of alignment of stars at varying distances as they appear from Earth. Some members of any given constellation may be dimmer neighbors of our Sun and other members of the same constellation are very bright stars at great distances. Stars that appear close together in our skies are in some cases very far apart and have no relation to each other.
