predecessor of the EU theory - year 1903

A book that can be considered as one of the historical roots of the EU theory.

Such flowery prose! I like it that the author endorsed the book over to the U. of California in 1906 - autographs make books much more personal. The fact that Warder ascribes so much to electricity so early on is amazing, but it may be because in that day electricity was still new and exciting and so full of promise and wonder. The book reads as much like a philosophical treatise as a scientific one. I think I may have seen a reference to this book somewhere else - Juergens, maybe?? - but was not aware that it had been digitized by Google. Very interesting find. Thanks!
