LMAO, I'm surprised they weren't claiming the gravity was so intense that there is a statistical chance of unicorns popping out.....SMH.

They don't say that because there is an equal chance of anti-unicorns popping out, and the unicorns mutually annihilate with the anti-unicorns almost instantly.

Black hole rings are clever hoops.
If they can get the right people to jump through them, they're in for a fat grant, and they get to build their unicorn detector.

The 'lie' is hidden in plain view, in the title.

Ring-shaped black holes were 'discovered' (in quotation marks, because not really discovered) by theoretical physicists...

And second half of the sentence is made out to sound like "discovery confirmed".
