Black hole "rings"—that ain't science
"Ring-shaped black holes were 'discovered' by theoretical physicists in 2002, but this is the first time that their dynamics have been successfully simulated using supercomputers."
Math is Truth™. This is what now passes for "science" and "research."

LMAO, I'm surprised they weren't claiming the gravity was so intense that there is a statistical chance of unicorns popping out.....SMH.

They don't say that because there is an equal chance of anti-unicorns popping out, and the unicorns mutually annihilate with the anti-unicorns almost instantly.Rushthezeppelin wrote:LMAO, I'm surprised they weren't claiming the gravity was so intense that there is a statistical chance of unicorns popping out.....SMH.

Re: Black hole "rings"—that ain't science
Black hole rings are clever hoops.
If they can get the right people to jump through them, they're in for a fat grant, and they get to build their unicorn detector.
The 'lie' is hidden in plain view, in the title.
Ring-shaped black holes were 'discovered' (in quotation marks, because not really discovered) by theoretical physicists...
And second half of the sentence is made out to sound like "discovery confirmed".
~~~`
Besides that.
Gravity vectors to a point, the center of gravity. Forms spheres.
Torus shapes are created by electrical forces. Van Allen belts.
Theoretically, they're physicists...
