Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
Light, particles, electric fields, gravity are all expressions of different vector of as they say momentum. Momentum is just kinetic energy with a vector...
"A strange new property of light, which correlates the spin of a light wave’s electric field with its momentum, could usher in a new age in photonics.
SEE THE LIGHT
A new discovery links the spin and momentum of light waves, and could mean a major advance in the development of new photonic and spintronic devices.
Scientists from Purdue University have discovered a property of light waves called “spin-momentum locking,” which means that a rotating electric field accompanying light moves in a certain direction according to the photons’ momentum. In other words, light waves spinning counterclockwise move only “forward,” those spinning clockwise move only “backward.”
It’s a significant discovery, because it means that light—formerly used in technology merely for communication purposes—can now be harnessed for memory and logic operations in computers, for instance, by using photonic spin.
Photonic technology could also be coupled with “spintronics,” in which the spin as well as charge of electrons is utilized. To understand photonics, and how it can be used, check out the video below from Prof. David Lancaster from IPAS at the University of Adelaide.
UNFOLDING THE RESEARCH
“The question,” explains Zubin Jacob, one of the authors of the new study appearing in the journal Optica, “is how to interface photonics and spintronics. We would have to use some of these spin properties of light to interface with spintronics so that we might use both photons and electrons in devices.”
“Researchers had noticed intriguing effects related to directional propagation of light coupled to its polarization,” Jacob continues. “What we have shown is that this is a unique effect related to the spin and momentum of light analogous in many ways to the case of spin-momentum locking which occurs for electrons. We showed there is a very simple rule that governs this spin and momentum locking. And it’s a universal property for all optical materials and nanostructures, which makes it potentially very useful for photonic devices. This universality is unique to light and does not occur for electrons.”
Further research remains to be done, but it’s a promising development for a brand new technology.

Solar kids' who stop moving at night perplex doctors in Pakistan
Medics baffled by two brothers who behave normally in day but lapse into catatonic state as soon as sun sets
The two brothers have come to be known as the “solar kids” and their case has completely mystified Pakistani doctors. Shoaib Ahmed, 13, and his brother Abdul Rasheed, nine, are normal, active children during the day. But once the sun goes down, they both lapse into a vegetative state — unable to move or talk.
Javed Akram, a professor of medicine at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, said on Thursday that he had no idea what was causing the symptoms. “We took this case as a challenge. Our doctors are doing medical tests to determine why these kids remain active in the day but cannot open their eyes, why they cannot talk or eat when the sun goes down,” he said, as he visited the pair at his hospital.
Akram said the government was providing free medical care to the siblings, who come from an impoverished family. The brothers are undergoing extensive medical testing in the capital, Islamabad, and samples of their blood have been sent to overseas specialists for further examination. Researchers are also collecting soil and air samples from the family’s village.
Mohammad Hashim, the father of the two boys, comes from a village near Quetta, the capital of south-western Baluchistan province. He and his wife are first cousins and two of their six children died at an early age. Their other two children have not displayed any unusual symptoms. His simple theory: “I think my sons get energy from sun.”
But doctors have already dismissed the idea that sunlight plays a role, noting that the boys can move during the day even when kept in a dark room or during a storm.
During the day, the boys did indeed seem normally active, energetic and cheerful as they emerged from their hospital room on Friday and walked to a nearby canteen to have tea. “I will become a teacher,” Shoaib said, while his younger brother said he wanted to be an Islamic scholar.

Karl von Reichenbach
ACADEMICIAN
One chapter in forgotten science history introduces one of the greatest researchers of all time, whose investigation of basic life-related energies stands paramount in the history of qualitative science. His name forgotten and ignored by modernists, the life and work of Baron Karl von Reichenbach stands as a monument. He is a true scientific legend, a giant, a reminder that the world is more marvelous than we are led to believe by those who misalign our perceptions and misdirect our views. It is for this reason that I have chosen to begin the LOST SCIENCE series with his biography.
Our story begins in the Kingdom of Wurttemberg. Born in Stuttgart (1788), Karl von Reichenbach became a laudable personage of great scientific stature. Known for his humility and deep sensitivity, the enormous scientific contributions made by him in European industry and research are legendary. His father, the Court Librarian, was able to supply Karl with a rich reserve of arcane treasures. Books of a most wonderful kind flooded his young life with the stimulating and refreshing visions of a hundred forgotten naturalists.
SENSITIVES
So, there were an overwhelming number of cases where very young children began manifesting night fears and sleepwalking without any pre-established "provoking atmosphere" of religious dread. These were spontaneous conditions, manifesting so early in childhood that they could not be the result of suggestion. Were the condition a hereditary weakness, then more family members would suffer from it. But this was not the case.
In addition, the cases with which the Baron was principally intrigued were all widely isolated cases. His case studies revealed a wide regionally dispersed incidence of the malady. The Baron gradually expanded his inquiry concerning nocturnal phobia and somnambulism across Europe over a wider population cross-section. There were so many cases to chronicle. Each told of the same pattern of symptoms. The age when this malady first manifested often commenced with the child's ability to walk. The question was disturbing. Why would healthy young children suddenly exhibit the varieties of sleepwalking symptoms?

“The universe seems to like talking to itself faster than the speed of light,” said Steinberg. “I could understand a universe where nothing can go faster than light, but a universe where the internal workings operate faster than light, and yet we’re forbidden from ever making use of that at the macroscopic level—it’s very hard to understand.”

This is the result of kinetic energy which is massless. The only way the universe can remain coherent is by FTL communication. FTL communication has to be massless. I have yet to see an experiment where mass moves FTL. Yet there are plenty of experiments that show the massless motion moves FTL...
Motion, momentum, kinetic energy is massless... When kinetic energy is transferred from mass to mass it does not change the mass when it is removed...

Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
But there’s something mysterious about the Higgs field that continues to perturb physicists like Cliff.
According to Einstein’s theory of general relativity and the theory of quantum mechanics — the two theories in physics that drive our understanding of the cosmos on incredibly large and extremely small scales — the Higgs field should be performing one of two tasks, says Cliff.
Either it should be turned off, meaning it would have a strength value of zero and wouldn’t be working to give particles mass, or it should be turned on, and, as the theory goes, this “on value” is “absolutely enormous,” Cliff says. But neither of those two scenarios are what physicists observe.
“In reality, the Higgs field is just slightly on,” says Cliff. “It’s not zero, but it’s ten-thousand-trillion times weaker than it’s fully on value — a bit like a light switch that got stuck just before the ‘off’ position. And this value is crucial. If it were a tiny bit different, then there would be no physical structure in the universe.”
Why the strength of the Higgs field is so ridiculously weak defies understanding. Physicists hope to find an answer to this question by detecting brand-new particles at the newly upgraded particle accelerator at CERN. So far, though, they’re still hunting.
<snip>
Still, “we don’t know what dark energy is,” Cliff admits. “But the best idea is that it’s the energy of empty space itself — the energy of the vacuum.”
If this is true, you should be able to sum up all the energy of empty space to get a value representing the strength of dark energy. And although theoretical physicists have done so, there’s one gigantic problem with their answer:
“Dark energy should be 10120 times stronger than the value we observe from astronomy,” Cliff said. “This is a number so mind-bogglingly huge that it’s impossible to get your head around … this number is bigger than any number in astronomy — it’s a thousand-trillion-trillion-trillion times bigger than the number of atoms in the universe. That’s a pretty bad prediction.”

Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
I never wanted to go down this road but it looks like I have to. Dark Energy, dark stuff, zero point energy, bosons bonds, higgs field, light, crooked light, 5th force, blah blah... So starting from this premise can a unified theory be built??
I think it can. I think you can build the whole universe up from this one principle, that motion i.e that which kinetic causes when it interacts with matter, is primary......
Is all kinetic energy. Think about it...
In listening to this TED talk I came to realize that there really is this huge amount of energy in the Aether lattice... It probably is up there around 10^100 Joules stronger than the value we observe today:-)....
The energy of the universe, dark energy or what ever you want to call it.
It makes up 1/2 of mass @ .87 light speed... If you remove the velocity component you are left with the original mass with no change...
However to get to light speed you are adding more than the mass equivalent of kinetic energy to accelerate an object to Lightspeed.
By the time you get to light speed you have an object that is 80% kinetic energy and 20% real mass....
There is more kinetic energy in the universe than there is mass.

Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
So I think i am going to start off by dividing the universe into 2 parts. A realm where faster than light travel is possible and a realm where subluminal speed is the norm...
The normal subluminal realm that we live in can be broken down into various processes but I think that everyone of those processes can be thought of in terms of motion.
For instance - Atomic bonds. Limited motion between "particles".
In this case what kind of particle model can we choose from that will fulfill those requirements?? That will allow a system of bonding that allows limited movement?
We have 2 to choose from - Waves or spherical particles... or some combination of the 2...
If somebody knows of another option for building a particle, I am interested in hearing it...
But it seems as though atomic bonds are an exchange of energy between particles.
In my opinion waves fit the best...
Ongoing as I think about this...

Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
"Scientists have argued for more than a century about the momentum of light in materials," Leonhardt told Phys.org. "Is it Abraham's, is it Minkowski's? We discovered that momentum is not a fundamental quantity, but it is made in the interplay between light and matter, and it depends on the ability of the light to move the material. If the medium does not move, it is Minkowski's, and if it moves, Abraham's. This was not understood before."

Kinetic energy requires mass to express itself. Similar to what Podkletnov observed.
Momentum is what happens when you have mass and kinetic energy...
Kinetic energy is a fundamental quantity...
Mass is not...
And its what I have been saying all along. Kinetic energy requires mass to express itself in a form the we can see and measure...

Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
If light is pushing then surely it is losing energy by doing so. Then light travelling through the galaxies will be losing energy. This presumably means that the frequency of the light will change. And thus the universe is not expanding. Thus doing experiments to reflect light is very controversial.

Yes. I see what youre saying...
I found this paper...
"The excitation of plasma waves over a length of up to 8 centimeters is, for the first time, demonstrated
using laser guiding of intense laser pulses through hydrogen filled glass capillary tubes. The
plasma waves are diagnosed by spectral analysis of the transmitted laser radiation. The dependence
of the spectral redshift, measured as a function of filling pressure, capillary tube length and incident
laser energy, is in excellent agreement with simulation results. The longitudinal accelerating field
inferred from the simulations is in the range 1 − 10 GV/m"

Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
My initial hypothesis is when you confine a movable substance at the atomic scale, its easier for it to absorb energy and do something than it is with a larger volume. The clue is hydrophobic. Listen to Dr. Gerald Pollacks description of hydrophobic action.. Its exerting a pushing force against the particles. Strictly speaking a pushing force is a transfer of kinetic energy to create motion with mass. So then if you confine the waters macroscopic motion like the Nafion and the particles, then the energy has to go into heat, i.e the water turns to vapor...
Scientists accidentally create nanorods that harvest water from the air
"Assuming the equipment was malfunctioning, the scientists switched to a microscope, and were able to observe water appearing from between the branches of the nanorods, and then evaporating at a higher humidity.
On researching why this was the case, the team looked to previous works and found papers from 2012 and 2013 explaining how water can spontaneously vaporize when confined in an area just 1.5 nm wide, or when tightly surrounded by hydrophobic materials. Observations even go as far back as the 1990s, when scientists experimenting with crystallized proteins noticed similar happenings and theorized that some unknown process was allowing the water to rapidly evaporate.
The recent research at PNNL appears to be the first time this phenomenon has been directly seen in action. The team's hypothesis was that the water is condensing and drawing the branches of the nanorods together, and when they reach the 1.5 nm threshold, as specified in the previous work, the water quickly evaporates."

Re: Kinetic energy hypothesis......
Before we get too careless about force without acceleration, I feel a need to remind that all objects in motion [kinetic energy] are following curved paths [accelerating] under the influence of universal gravitation . Since all objects are apparently in motion, there is no force uncoupled from kinetic energy. Now I would ask at this point, is force/pressure causing the kinetic energy, or is kinetic energy causing the pressure? Or are they primordially coexistent? Or are they two aspects of the same field?
Truth extends beyond the border of self-limiting science. Free discourse among opposing viewpoints draws the open-minded away from the darkness of inevitable bias and nearer to the light of universal reality.

When you hold a ball to the wall that is force without acceleration. Same with a rocket pushing something and holding it to the wall. Its what holds you to the earth. Even though you stand still, if there wasnt gravity you would float away..
In one case you can see the chemical energy. In the other case its biological energy. In the third case its the energy of the universe....
The definition of work is the transfer of energy.
WIki
"Work is closely related to energy. The work-energy principle states that an increase in the kinetic energy of a rigid body is caused by an equal amount of positive work done on the body by the resultant force acting on that body. Conversely, a decrease in kinetic energy is caused by an equal amount of negative work done by the resultant force."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_(physics)
Work is the transfer of energy..
A Gravitational field acts upon neutrals, and electric fields act upon charged particles..
So looking at order of causality, the field is causing the matter to move, generating pressure...
And the field consists of carriers that are undetectable.. Which if you think about kinetic energy, it fulfills all of the requirements...
I have been trying to figure out how to reverse the process so that the kinetic energy can be directly manipulated allowing control of gravity, electricity fields...
I think if you manipulate electricity is a certain way, that manipulates the kinetic energy which expresses itself as the manipulation of gravity...

I would say that yes, mass is real energy. Its a resonance in the lattice... Its motion...webolife wrote:Have you considered the possibility that mass is potential energy?

So yes you could change the vector to be massless like the aether?? Or change its form like cold fusion...
Here is good video. That shape is correct but the motion is pressure waves(longitudinal plane waves) forming an onion type of structure.
