What will happen in 2012

Hello.
I am interested in 2012, notably - the Mayan prophecy about the end of the world 12.21.2012. Many people talk about it now, besides, the movie comes out soon. I'm interested to read something about it. Disclosing this theme.

The whole "2012 doom and gloom" thing has been picking up steam of late. It's all "Hollywood" rubbish.

C.J.Calleman, as well as (according to him) the Mayan elders themselves, points out that the 12/21/2012 calender end-date is a fabrication. The actual date is 10/28/2011. He also points out, though, that if you're waiting for a particular date/time for "something to happen," then you've already missed the proverbial boat.

Life/evolution is not a spectator sport. . . well at least, not on the playing field, that is.

What will happen in 2012? There is a remote possibility that the Earth will be destroyed, it is going to happen sooner or later. However, it is more likely that the sun will rise, people will go to work as usual, there will be wars, politics, good times, bad times, the year culminating in a New Years Eve party to celebrate the year 2013.
Humanity has been awaiting doomsday for several thousand years. Prophets have been forecasting the demise of humankind and the Earth, pinpointing this or that date by any variety of catastrophes. Invariably the date passes and shortly a new date arises and the cycle begins again. In the past the appearance of a comet often accelerated this tendency. Why is that?
Well, not that long ago the human race looked into the face of extinction during a period of cosmic instability resulting in widespread destruction inflicted upon Earth. We are the descendants of the survivors, yet as a species we do not remember the catastrophes. An amnesia victim seeks the source of the trauma that caused his amnesia. If he is not ready to face the truth about his past, he will continually gravitate to situations that reconstruct or reenact the drama. The 2012 craze (aided by the increased efficiency in communications; the internet, television, etc) is part of that process.

The much greater danger is that the amnesia victim, still staggering from the recent shock, is now in possession of the technological means that enable him to recreate that destruction.

Perhaps just a coincidence, but the IMF which has been hanging around 2nT, rose to 9nT in the 36 hours preceeding the recent Pacific earthquakes. That is still a weak field, but perhaps the rate of change could be considered a pulse?
Today I see the IMF is at 0. Does that imply anything?

If nothing happens physically in 2012/13, I am expecting at least and end to the (US$ dominated)financial world, the way things are going. Perhaps that is what all the ancient references to 2012 were telling us?

I think I read at http://solari.com an article that said the "Web bot" predicts a major economic downturn for about Oct. 25, a few weeks from now.
