Sleepwalkers Redux

Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

Sleepwalkers Redux

Post by Joe Keenan » Mon Sep 21, 2009 6:52 pm

Just got done reading Arthur Koestlers classic work, The Sleepwalkers. This book is awesome on so many levels it beggars the imagination, like Kepler, even when he's wrong (he buys into the Dark Age myth) he gets it right! Anyone seeking to understand the resistance of the powers that be to the Electric Universe needs to read this book. Koestler demolishes the myth of the disinterested intellectual searching dispassionately for the Truth. That's propaganda, the Truth is somewhat different (lots of breath holding and foot stamping). This book is so good I started re-reading it upon completion. Please read this book.
