The Ultimate Theory is Here!

Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

Hi StevenO,

You'll note that my post was about the Dirac Nilpotent Solution by Peter Rowlands (which has quartenions included so Junglelord should be happy). I've spent some time looking at ECE theory and we should note that our friend SJ Crothers has some serious problems with 't hooft just as he has problems with Evans.

I think Evans is definatly correct that torsion and coralis effects have to be included into GRT (you only need to look at pictures of spiral galaxies for that to be clear) but the reason I made this post was that I thought Rowlands work was much more fundamental - he also shows how quantumn theory and GRT can be combined and for this you need to get his book zero to infinity - its worth every penny by the way so you won't repeat the ECE Theory experience (in my humble opinion).

regards

Andy

Jaded much? ;) While I agree there's not much by the way of good track record on Grand Unified Theories and this forum isn't a clearing house for each and every such new theory, despite the fact that many of them keep seeming to be brought up repeatedly (Aetherometry, APM, Electromass, etc. etc. I've lost track by now), no need to be utterly sarcaustic (yes, I like to make up amusing words on occasion; this one being a favorite for a certain type of caustic sarcasm, derived from a rather frequent typo)... Heh.

We'll just have to see whether the standard model can get its house of cards in order or not...

As a matter of course, I tend to take such sweeping statements with a grain of salt.
Have they literally compared this theory with every single known result of literally every single experiment out there in all branches of physics, biology, chemistry and whatever other fields the theory would touch on, explaining both why positive results occurred for critical experiments and equally well the reasons why negative results were achieved for other critical experiments (or illuminating experiments where mixed results were achieved, thus not deciding between one theory and the next)?

Note, I'm not saying the new theory is wrong. Just that "sweeping statements" are often in error. Maybe just a niggling bit of set logic when dealing with "all" and "none". Anywho, might be worth a glance... But, how many GUTs and TOEs (Grand Unified Theories and Theories of Everything) have come and gone? So far humanity doesn't have the best track record on those'ns.

Best,

Is'nt it funny that we expect that a ToE should come from some fancy math these days?
Where is the time that physics was about finding and explaining mechanisms on how the world around us works?

For a painfully refreshing look on how centuries of mathematical mistakes has gotten us into the current mess, I recommend this website: The Greatest Standing Errors in Physics and Mathematics. The theory and website is especially recommended for EU proponents.

The author also shows that we already have two ToE hiding in plain sight. It is called either "Newtons equation of gravity" or "the Coulomb equation". It can be found here: The Unified Field Theory. To quote:
This paper is not a historical overview of failed Unified Field Theories. Nor is it a philosophical treatise on the idea of the Unified Field. Nor is it an esoteric model based on extravagant and untestable hypotheses. Nor is it the revelation of some new math, so difficult it requires large computers just to store the equations. This paper is the announcement of the Unified Field that we have always had, but not recognized. This paper is the solution of a very long mystery.

I will show that Newton’s famous gravitational equation is a compound equation that expresses both the gravitational field and the E/M field. I will separate the two fields mathematically, showing the distinct equations and how they fit together. I will then do a Relativistic transform on each new field, showing that a new Relative field equation can be achieved directly without tensors or any difficult math. I will then re-unify these two Relative field equations into a Unified Field Equation, which I will show is just Newton’s classical field with a simple transform.
Have fun! :D
First, God decided he was lonely. Then it got out of hand. Now we have this mess called life...
