Comet hits Sun, NASA loses SOHO images

On 8/15 a Comet was reported to have been eaten by the Sun. Plenty of videos of the approach from the wide-field LASCO images. But for some reason, NASA decided, or had a problem, with all the real-time direct Sun images that day. ... mages.html
For all bandwidths, EIT 171, EIT 195,EIT 284, and EIT 304. No images in the archive for 8/15 at all.

What a Shame!
