“It was a real surprise to see the Radio Arc in the GISMO data,” said Dr. Richard Arendt, an astronomer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.
“Its emission comes from high-speed electrons spiraling in a magnetic field, a process called synchrotron emission.”
“When you look at it, you feel like you’re looking at some really special forces of nature in the Universe.”
I wonder what that really special force could be...

"Vertically thickened bars, observed in the form of boxy/peanut (B/P) bulges, are found in the majority of massive barred disc galaxies in the local Universe, including our own.
"...we estimate that the true fraction of barred galaxies with B/P bulges increases from ∼10 per cent at z ≈ 1 to ∼70 per cent at z = 0."
It would appear that this galactic morphology is more prevalent than currently recognised.
