recent changes in UK HighSchool Physics Syllabus

Has science taken a wrong turn? If so, what corrections are needed? Chronicles of scientific misbehavior. The role of heretic-pioneers and forbidden questions in the sciences. Is peer review working? The perverse "consensus of leading scientists." Good public relations versus good science.

recent changes in UK HighSchool Physics Syllabus

Post by meemoe_uk » Mon Aug 27, 2012 2:55 pm

When I was at school I was disappointed with how little we touched on space science in our physics lessons. Looking at the different physics syllabus being taught today in UK schools, I notice they all have a space component. This space component always features ideas like the big bang and cosmological redshift, i.e. the ideas that the EU community opposes.

Why have they put this in the syllabus recently?
If industry was wanting to promote space science, wouldn't solar system gravity be more a focus?

Looks to me the religious cult of big bangers, dark matter dudes and cosmological expansionists see EU as a serious threat and are taking counter measures to preserve their religion and its funding.

Bit below the belt I think.
