Let's Do EU Research

Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

* Here's a good way to compare theories:
http://www.creationscience.com/onlinebo ... oths7.html
* That link compares various theories that try to explain the many frozen mammoths in the Arctic.
* Juergens used a similar table to compare theories about lunar rilles. Such a table makes it easy to see which theories are most promising and which aren't.
* The theory above doesn't compare EU theory or the Saturn Theory, but it would actually fit the facts better than any other, I believe.

How long can a lab Z-Pinch be sustained? If matter was introduced slowly would it be compressed and then eventually ejected when the matter became too large to be sustained by the current?

* Phyllo, you should have posted the link, in case someone copies the page, so they'll have the links too.
* Here's the link: http://peswiki.com/index.php/DIY. The first thing I checked out there was a link under Farm Equipment, which said:
OS / DIY > Communities > Marcin Jakubowski: Open-sourced blueprints for civilization - Using wikis and digital fabrication tools, TED Fellow Marcin Jakubowski, founder of Open Source Ecology is open-sourcing the blueprints for 50 farm machines, allowing anyone to build their own tractor or harvester from scratch. And that's only the first step in a project to write an instruction set for an entire self-sustaining village (starting cost: $10,000). (TED; April, 2011)

* That's all I've had time to check out so far. I then found more info on the net and posted the following and more at http://forum.freestateproject.org/index ... #msg278882.
(Video:) Marcin Jakubowski: Open-sourced blueprints for civilization
http://www.ted.com/talks/marcin_jakubowski.html
Building A Village Starts With Building The Tractor

A Mad Scientist’s 50 Tools for Sustainable Communities
http://www.colomboherald.com/earth/a-ma ... ommunities
... In the middle of rural Missouri there is a physicist-turned-farmer looking to redefine the way we build the world. Marcin Jakubowski is the mastermind behind a group of DIY enthusiasts known as Open Source Ecology and their main project, the Global Village Construction Set. The network of engineers, tinkerers, and farmers is working to fabricate 50 different low-cost industrial machines. A complete set, they say, would be capable of supporting a sustainable manufacturing and farming community of about 200 people almost anywhere across the globe—a “small-scale civilization with modern comforts.”
... The communities Jakubowski is hoping to build will all be sustainable, energy-efficient, and off-grid. Additionally, as the name of his organization implies, all of his designs are open-source, available to anyone with an Internet connection and basic welding skills. As Jakubowski himself admitted last month during his presentation as a TED Fellow in Long Beach, California, it’s “a very big, hairy, audacious goal” to seek to build and distribute the plans for all 50 of the machines. Oh, and he hopes to finish the bulk of the designing by the end of 2012.
* This should be a good match for hackerspaces.

Crater & Meteor Debris Hunting for Saturn Theory
* Dennis Cox had a lot of interesting info about meteor airbursts that made a lot of craters and "fallout" in west Texas and nearby. He has references to lots of recent breakthrough literature and research and was trying to get forum members to help hunt for craters and other "fallout" from airbursts over Texas etc. A lot of his info & references are posted at this thread: http://www.thunderbolts.info/forum/phpB ... 105#p44247.
* That's a project that would be fun for some folks. He thinks the event occurred about 10,000 years ago, which would have been during the Saturn flare, when the Saturn System, including Earth etc, first entered the Solar System. But it seems that the event may have occurred during the Saturn System breakup about 5,000 years ago, since the event seems to have made the most recent features there.

* Some years ago I read that someone on this forum did some work with Tesla coils etc, but I don't remember who it was. It may have been Junglelord = Dean Ward, who died a couple years ago. Several people would likely be interested in discussing doing something. Do you want to PM some of the members? I can suggest some to PM, if you like, but you may be able to think of the same ones.

From Dave Talbott:
BRINGING THE BRIGHTEST STUDENTS TO ELECTRIC UNIVERSE 2013: THE TIPPING POINT
- A tremendous step forward for us could be our expanded conference scholarship program. Now an exceptional new member of the EU community, young Cameron Mercer, has taken on the challenge single-handedly. Please visit the Indiegogo site, where Cameron has launched a conference scholarship funding project on our behalf. The fact that he's never done this before, or never been on camera before didn't stop him. He's a natural:
http://www.indiegogo.com/EUscholarship
- Cameron writes:
"Science is in danger! Astrophysics is in danger! Any field of study needs students to learn and carry the knowledge forward, but where are they? The student represents the future of the science, and, ladies and gents, astrophysics is staring extinction in the face! But there is hope: The Electric Universe is an alternative perspective on astrophysics that is easier to teach, more interesting to learn, and with your help could save astrophysics and change the whole future of science forever!"
PLEASE NOTE: This is our first attempt at "crowd funding," and we no doubt have lots to learn on its potential. What we do know is that dozens of projects internationally have succeeded with this tool simply because the technology makes it easy to succeed in the right circumstances. When individuals share the same deep inspiration, that fact can now translate minimum individual support (in our case $5) into a collective, game-changing result. That's why your response to this note will be so important to us.
- Funds raised will be transmitted to scholarship recipients by Mikamar Publishing, the distributor of the most popular books on the EU perspective.

SPACE NEWS LATEST: THE SAFIRE PROJECT
- Outside of the earth, the Sun is the most heavily studied body in the solar system. Yet almost all of the Sun's features present major quandaries for solar physicists. But now, an expert on "Design of Experiment" methodologies, Monty Childs, is heading up a project to demonstrate how an electrified plasma environment can produce the enigmatic features of the Sun in the laboratory. Monty and his research group are confident that the technology is now available to rigorously test the electric Sun hypothesis.

I am involved with these fine folks, and I will post about it in the future. This program was initiated by Cameron- he's a class act, and you will be amazed at what he's capable of...

Forgive the absence, but trust that there is a lot of movement right now...
Stay tuned :D

* I think I got this message twice now from Dave T.

FUTURE SCIENTISTS THAT COULD CHANGE THE WORLD

Fellow members of the Electric Universe community:

Major developments for the EU movement are underway, and exceptional potential will begin to emerge from beneath the radar within the next ten days. We do not exaggerate when we say the Electric Universe has reached the "tipping point." Keep an eye on the Electric Universe 2013: The Tipping Point conference pages to watch as these developments unfold at www.thunderbolts.info/eu2013.

Our "crowdfunding" conference scholarship program is off to an excellent start. For students eager to learn, EU2013 will be an eye opener. We have seen again and again that the best and the brightest gravitate naturally to the Electric Universe once they discover what it means: a radical and sweeping shift in scientific perception. You can help open these doors of discovery for students at all levels, from middle school to post graduate work. Today's exceptional minds will indeed shape the future of science. Click on http://www.indiegogo.com/EUscholarship to make a donation. Possibilities range from $5 to $250 with Perks you don't want to miss.

For those who would like to make a greater impact, tax deductible donations of $500 or more can be arranged by contacting susan@thunderbolts.com.

As we look ahead to the fulfillment of the IndieGoGo campaign's potential, a special thank you is due to the two visionaries behind it: Cameron Mercer and Forrest Bishop. Also, we can not thank enough our EU2013 conference coordinator, Susan Schirott, whose tireless and efficient support is helping to expand our outreach in so many promising directions.

We hope to see as many of you as possible January 3-6 in Albuquerque at Electric Universe 2013: The Tipping Point. And if you're experiencing any uncertainty on the matter, please follow our October surprises. We can promise our best conference ever.

Many thanks to all,

David Talbott

* I just got this from Dave T.

THUNDERBOLTS PROJECT
October 4, 2012

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Daily subscriptions to the Thunderbolts Project YouTube Channel have tripled in the past few weeks, due in large part to our recent news segments. Take a look, and we think you'll agree that these segments are working exceptionally well and deserve to be broadly distributed. The latest:

"ELECTRIC GALAXIES DEFY BIG BANG"
Researchers using the Hubble telescope have spotted an “astounding” grand-design spiral galaxy – astounding, they say, because it shouldn’t exist. Based on the galaxy’s estimated age of 10.7 billion years, according to conventional theory, it should not display such complexity of form. In this presentation, we discuss whether astronomers’ methods for dating galaxies are actually valid, and whether an electrical theory of galaxies may help resolve this cosmological puzzle.

DEEP IMPACT—CONFIRMING THE ELECTRIC COMET
This video segment is proving to be THE MOST EFFECTIVE THUNDERBOLTS VIDEO EVER. Please do what you can to direct attention of others, both scientists and lay people, to this fact-based presentation.

In the history of comet science, the most critical moment for the electric comet model was the evening of July 4, 2005. That was when a projectile from the Deep Impact probe struck the comet Tempel 1. The result was a stunning confirmation of key predictions by Wallace Thornhill and others. Since that event, comet discoveries have added numerous additional confirmations.

TOMORROW'S SCIENTISTS DESERVE TO KNOW: ALL OF NATURE IS ELECTRIC
When we announced the upcoming conference, ELECTRIC UNIVERSE 2013: The Tipping Point, Jan 3-6 in Albuquerque New Mexico, we also launched an expanded conference scholarship program. Begun only a year earlier, the program now has the potential to grow dramatically in the next few weeks, but only with your support. Helping out is incredibly easy, as you can see on the Indiegogo page constructed by the articulate young science-advocate Cameron Mercer. Both PayPal and credit card transactions are available and require only a couple of minutes to complete.
http://www.indiegogo.com/EUscholarship

In aggregate, contributions as small as $5.00 could make a huge difference in our impact on the brightest young minds. Also, for those who would like to make a larger personal contribution to the project, tax deductible donations of $500 or more can be arranged by contacting: susan@thunderbolts.info.

THUNDERBOLTS PROJECT
October 12, 2012
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

RUPERT SHELDRAKE TO SPEAK AT "ELECTRIC UNIVERSE 2013: THE TIPPING POINT"

It seems that nearly everyone in the EU community is aware of Dr. Rupert Sheldrake's work and its profound implications for our understanding of the physical world and our connections to each other and to all of life. Few scientists today can match Rupert's far-reaching explorations, redefining the nature of consciousness and the rules that govern nature itself.

We are pleased to announce that Rupert will be a featured speaker at our upcoming conference, January 3-6 in Albuquerque. New Mexico. Considering the significance of this development for the Electric Universe community as a whole, we urge all who receive this message to join us in spreading the word.

PLEASE SUPPORT YOUNG SCIENTISTS DESIRING TO ATTEND EU2013

You can follow the progress of our expanded conference scholarship program at:
http://www.indiegogo.com/EUscholarship

While that page lists total support at $3718, an additional $1000 has been raised in tax deductible contributions. (See the page for simple details on deductible contributions over $500.) We're now at $4718, toward a goal of $12,000, all for the benefit of young scientists eager to attend EU 2013. These young scientists deserve our best efforts on their behalf. They are the brightest of young minds within the EU community and they will indeed help to re-write the future of science.

Please do what you can to help. It takes only a minute or two (by credit card or PayPal), and very contribution of $5 or more will bring us closer to fulfilling another student's aspirations.
