AAAS lost it way long ago

Has science taken a wrong turn? If so, what corrections are needed? Chronicles of scientific misbehavior. The role of heretic-pioneers and forbidden questions in the sciences. Is peer review working? The perverse "consensus of leading scientists." Good public relations versus good science.

AAAS lost it way long ago

•Enhance communication among scientists, engineers, and the public;
•Promote and defend the integrity of science and its use;
•Strengthen support for the science and technology enterprise;
•Provide a voice for science on societal issues;
•Promote the responsible use of science in public policy;
•Strengthen and diversify the science and technology workforce;
•Foster education in science and technology for everyone;
•Increase public engagement with science and technology; and
•Advance international cooperation in science.

Where does it say make pronouncements on the state of science knowledge.
Whether that's human caused climate change or gravity.
Indeed making statements puts science back that's totally against the mission statement- its regress science.
