Returning the Experimentalist to the field.

Has science taken a wrong turn? If so, what corrections are needed? Chronicles of scientific misbehavior. The role of heretic-pioneers and forbidden questions in the sciences. Is peer review working? The perverse "consensus of leading scientists." Good public relations versus good science.

Returning the Experimentalist to the field.

Don't often now quote from wiki, but this quote got me thinking about the role of mathematics in EM history

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Faraday
Faraday was an excellent experimentalist who conveyed his ideas in clear and simple language. However, his mathematical abilities did not extend as far as trigonometry or any but the simplest algebra. It was James Clerk Maxwell who took the work of Faraday, and others, and consolidated it with a set of equations that lie at the base of all modern theories of electromagnetic phenomena.
The Experimentalist and the Mathematician do make a good team, it's time for the former to now again return to the lead field...

Lets go and explore the plasma universe.

You know, with simple algebra, you can divide the universe with quantum constants.
Five simple quantum constants will devine the universe. There is no cheating in algebra.
I am just saying.

However, Maxwells quaternion interpertation allows a clear observation of the Scalar field and also the Magneto-
Dieletric field. Cheers to both approachs.
If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe.

Volta playing with frogs legs
Faraday with coils and wire

Experimentation and observation preceded mathematical unification of Maxwell...

I see history repeating with Plasma circuits and history catching up with DEM dollard / meyl... Physics leading with the humility of natural philosophy, being the only sure path.
