While Miles Mathis is not particularly inclined toward EU ideas, as a mechanical theorist he has outlined some astonishingly simple and direct explanations and corrections to cosmic phenomena. His latest three papers, 2 covering axial tilt of planets and 1, labeled 'in progress' and correcting the Titius-Bode "Law", incorporate his concept of Unified Field, in which gravity and E/M charge of bodies are combined as two opposing forces. It does not explain in nano detail what causes gravity (that I recall, anyway) but it does pose some interesting and possibly plausible mechanisms to explain the variables observed in planetary orbits locally. Once we have a better understanding of such intricacies, locally, and have a more detailed and better described (mathematically) system of how our own star works, we will be able to extrapolate out to observations of other stars and other systems.
There is sufficient recent (the last 100 years) work exposing inherent problems and errors in distance measurements, gravity-only orbital and galactic rotation solutions, incompleteness by dismissing electrical phenomena, questions on standard candles and red shift and the expanding universe, falsification of physics based on the Big Bang hypothesis, and reliance on increasingly bizarre and unfalsifiable invisible junk such as dark matter, dark energy, gravitational waves, black holes and the Higgs boson, to raise some really pesky questions. Any sensible scientist who can fog a mirror should want to re-evaluate the entire edifice (i.e.; house of cards) on which their physics of the universe is based. There's the good stuff, the engineering useful stuff, and the really awful stuff, but what irks me is the attitude. JJ
