Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

The Manifestation of The Mystery

Gazing, we do not see it
we call it empty space

Listening, we do not hear it
we call it silence or noise

Groping, we do not grasp it
we call it intangible

But here . . . . .
we . . . . . . spin through it

Electric, silent, subtle.

Copied verbatim from:
Psychedelic Prayers by Timothy Leary, page II-6.
Library of Congress catalog card nr. 66-23650. Published 1966.
In the foreword, it's described as a translation of the chinese Tao te Ching, written under the influence of LSD.
And get this: the book is dedicated to Aurora and William Hitchcock

The Tao te Ching was supposedly written in the 6th century BC..
