A look at 3200 Phaethon: A big, bizarre, blue asteroid we plan to visit:
https://www.cnet.com/news/a-look-at-320 ... -to-visit/
New research suggests the "rock comet" is weirder than previously thought.
-Not weird if you have a correct theory about asteroids and comets (ie there are only asteroids, comets are asteroids that electrically discharge, asteroids can have varied compositions depending from which parent body they originated, they are planet debris)
It's a weird blue asteroid that created the Geminids and gets so hot that metals on the surface turn to goo,Teddy Kareta
- metals to goo, maybe Teddy, maybe, need to visit the asteroid first. If metal maybe it is blue because it has an oxide layer, oxide layers are caused by electricity...
odd asteroid, which sometimes behaves like a comet by releasing a dusty tail when it passes close to the sun
- a hint
He says they found it to be even more enigmatic than expected.
they discovered Phaethon is darker with a more uniform surface than previously though
-Sure, and they will find many more surprises.

Too bad the new mission only gets there in 2025.
Anybody else has predictions or ideas about this asteroid.

Daniel
