What is a human being? What is life? Can science give us reliable answers to such questions? The electricity of life. The meaning of human consciousness. Are we alone? Are the traditional contests between science and religion still relevant? Does the word "spirit" still hold meaning today?

Hello all,

I am a Librarian in the Healthcare industry, and I think you might find these short videos about your body very interesting when compared to the ideas presented neatly on this site:

Yes, very interesting, thanks ETS.
"Entropy is the ultimate winner"(end of part 2), and yet our whole existence
is anti-entropic, complexity arising from simple(r) components.
I find it very difficult to believe it all just self assembles from
fractal randomness. Were we engineered, not by the hand of an advanced scientist
perhaps, though personally I wouldn't count that out, but by information ever
present in an Aether? Information=Energy=Substance?
In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. -Buckminster Fuller
