That video is full of garbage and science fiction (note I distinguish between the two) and is not based on any real scientific studies or experiments. The salamander to frog laser experiment mentioned therein is a figment of someone's active imagination. DNA cannot and does not spontaneously assemble in any kind of environment, let alone a vacuum. DNA can only be produced from DNA, albeit it undergoes some mutation through reverse transcription by retroviruses (w/RNA) and the like.

What about amino acids in space?

Amino acids have been synthesized in a lab in the same way that ppwqmj is a word in the English language.
None, even at this level of [lack of] organization and usefulness, have ever been discovered in space. Carbon compounds have been discovered in space, and specific combinations of some of those, placed into a artificial lab set up, can be formed into ppwqmj type "amino acids", at least 50% of which are not the left-handed variety required for "life as we know it." No identifiably functional amino acids are known to have ever been formed outside of a life/living process. The idea that proteins can spontaneously form is analogous to the scenario in which hand grenades are repeatedly thrown into a pile of rubble until eventually the result is a well of constant diameter, lined completely with congruent mortared bricks. This level of organization is coded in and by DNA molecules, but cannot be found in a natural setting apart from a living system.
For some this leads to the conclusion that life is "built in" to the fabric of the universe, but observation indicates that life is rather an exception to the fabric of the universe, while at the same time dependent upon it! A mysterious paradox indeed.

An amino acid, one of the building blocks of life, has been spotted in deep space. If the find stands up to scrutiny, it means that the sorts of chemistry needed to create life are not unique to Earth verifying one of astrobiology's cherished theories.

This would add weight to ideas that life exists on other planets, and even that molecules from outer space kick-started life on Earth.

Over 130 molecules have been identified in interstellar space so far, including sugars and ethanol. But amino acids are a particularly important find because they link up to form proteins, the molecules that run, and to a large extent make up our cells.

Back in 1994, a team led by astronomer Lewis Snyder of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign announced preliminary evidence of the simplest type of amino acid, glycine, but the finding did not stand up to closer examination (New Scientist magazine, 11 June 1994, p 4).

Now Snyder and Yi-Jehng Kuan of the National Taiwan Normal University say they really have found glycine. "We're more confident [this time]," says Kuan. "We have strong evidence that glycine exists in interstellar space."

Huge blobs
The researchers monitored radio waves for the spectral lines characteristic of glycine. They studied emissions from more locations than before - giant molecular clouds, huge blobs of gas and dust grains. They have also identified 10 spectral lines at each location that correspond to the lines created by glycine in the lab; before they had just two.

The discovery of glycine supports recent lab-based simulations of deep space, which show that ices containing simple organic matter could form. When researchers bathe those ices in ultraviolet light, amino acids are created.

"Glycine is the holy grail," says Jill Tarter, director of the Centre for SETI Research at the SETI Institute in Mountain View. "Let's hope they've got it this time."

The new research was presented at the Bioastronomy 2002 meeting, held on Hamilton Island, Queensland between 8 and 12 July.

The first detection of an amino acid in space was made in 1994 when glycine was found in a star-forming region about one light-year across within the molecular cloud known as Sagittarius B2. This discovery adds weight to the idea that some important prebiotic chemicals, including amino acids, form on grains of cosmic dust and are later deposited on the surface of young planets during impacts with comets and asteroids (see cosmic collisions, biological effects ).

A long-standing puzzle connected with the origin of life on Earth is why all of the amino acids in terrestrial organisms are "left-handed", or laevorotatory. One possible answer is that the choice was made, not on the Earth's surface, but long before the Earth and Sun even formed, by the action of ultraviolet light on interstellar molecules. Support for this view came with the 1995 discovery of excess left-handed amino acids in the Murchison meteorite1 and the 1998 discovery of polarized light in a star-forming region of the Orion Nebula. The existence of circular polarized light (in which the plane of polarization continuously changes) in the Orion gas clouds, by James Hough of the University of Hertfordshire and colleagues, using an instrument attached to the Anglo-Australian Telescope,2 is especially significant. Although the observations were made at infrared wavelengths, the team argues that ultraviolet light in the same region, which is obscured by the clouds, should be polarized as well. Ultraviolet light can force chemical reactions to make molecules of mostly one handedness instead of an even split between the two forms. Right-handed ultraviolet light destroys right-handed molecules, leaving an excess of left-handed ones, and vice versa. If the Solar System formed in a similar environment, claims Hough, a 5 to 10 percent excess in the handedness of molecules – the same as that found in the Murchison meteorite – should result. This might be enough to allow the favored types to gain an upper hand during the early evolution of life on Earth (see enantiomers, bias in terrestrial life).

I have wondered for a long time about the ISM. I found this article a while ago, which would seem to indicate that certain building blocks are produced closer to, or within the sun. The Creator, creating.

The interstellar dust seen in absorption must fulfil a given number of observational constraints: resist thermal evaporation, hard irradiation field (UV, protons), contain low oxygen content, display vibrational modes that are larger than simple molecules with a CH2/CH3 ratio around 2. Given the low ISM density, the collision timescale is too large to form a stable polymer or disordered solid in situ, and therefore favours production in the ejecta of stars followed by dissemination in the ISM.

Triangular shapes of DNA have been used to enhance the production of circuits for next-generation computer chips.

Researchers reporting in Nature Nanotechnology have now shown how to get engineered "DNA origami" to self-organise on silicon.

The origami can be designed to serve as a scaffold for electronic components just six billionths of a metre apart.

Making chips with components closer together leads to smaller devices and faster computers.

The six nanometre mark is nearly eight times better than the current industry produces.

Several research groups have shown that DNA itself can be used to store or manipulate data, and the juggling of DNA in a test tube or within bacteria has been shown to solve simple computational tasks.

The current method, by contrast, leverages the ability to design DNA strands into regular shapes such as triangles.

Communicating with DNA

Our DNA is capable of producing and receiving sound (phonons) and light (photons). DNA can even trap photons in a photon lattice (see research of Prof. Popp and the Biophysics Institute in Neuss, Germany). Because of its sacred double spiral, it is able to spiral light around it’s double helix structure, instead of letting it preceed along a linear path. The DNA is a kind of a lens which can attract electromagnetic energy into itself. Lindstaedt emphasizes that “every biochemical reaction is preceded by an electromagnetic signal”. The matrix that is produced and sustained by frequency oscillations “provides the energetic switchboarding behind every cell function, including DNA/RNA messengering”. “Cell membranes scan and convert signals into electromagnetic events as proteins change shape to vibrations of specific resonant frequencies”.

It is interesting to note that Dr. Bruce Lipton (1988) also suggests that the cells themselves have the ability to perfectly reprogram their own DNA when the external environment demands it. Harvard geneticist John Keams proved this remarkable hypothesis right in his experiment with bacteria that were able to reprogram their DNA. In the words of Iona Miller and Richard Miller: “Life is fundamentally electromagnetic than biochemical, the DNA blueprint functioning as a biohologram which serves as a guiding matrix for organizing physical form”.

The same happens with sound, creating standing wave patterns. Milo Wolff and Geoff Haselhurst are now working together on a theory called ‘the Wave Structure of Matter’, which states that matter is the focal point of a standing wave, the result of two interfering waves. More than a century ago, William Clifford already suggested: “all matter is simply undulations in the fabric of space”. Chromosomes are arranged in a holographic grid which is designed to interpret and produce highly stable spiraling standing waves (frequency oscillations) of sound and light. These spiralling standing waves direct and control all biological functions! In the words of reseachers Iona Miller and Richard Miller: “the genetic code is being transformed into physical matter by means of sound and light signals”. Dolphin research by Michael Hyson has shown that dolphins use their phonators to produce high frequency sounds, work with phase control, sound aiming, and sound cancellation to produce a kind of holographic communication.

Dan Winter (presenting a kind of physics which is called ‘Implosion Physics’) has a theory of a wave coupling mechanism of how the e-motion energy of the mind and heart (Golden mean, Phi related in the case of attunement with true feelings of love) is delivered to our own DNA. Electrons should not be regarded as particles, but as standing wave patterns (interference patterns created by vortex action and combined ether vortexes which form a torus) at discrete distances from the nucleus, which might explain why the electron does not crash into the nucleus and how it’s radiated energy gets replenished. In a way the torus is like a little black hole, attracting light into itself and creating gravity. The torus shape can also be seen as a form that can be desribed by a set of Phi (Golden Mean) spirals. DNA itself, measuring 34 by 21 angstroms for every full spiral, happens to be exactly Phi related. According to Dan Winter, the cascade of Golden Mean electromagnetic sine waves that gain an ever-increasing velocity breaking the speed barrier of light, is what gravity really is.

It now seems clear that our DNA can be influenced by acoustic, electromagnetic and scalar waves According to Dr. Jeremy Narby our DNA can even be “read” or “rewritten” as a textual (and acoustic!) genetic code. Research by the Russian Gariaev group strongly suggest that chromosomes both produce and receive the information contained in the DNA “texts” in order to encode and decode them. Chromosomes assemble themselves into a holographic lattice designed to generate and interpret highly stable standing waves of sound and light that direct all biological functions. Gariaev’s research group and their linguistic DNA findings reflect the occult knowledge that “In the Beginning, there was the Word”. Frohlich allready suggested in 1988 that oscillations (vibrations) set up within a certain area of the DNA creates information signals that are being spread throughout the whole body, where they deliver energy to certain protein structures. Living matter is highly organized and exceedingly sensitive to the information conveyed by coherent (laser-like) signals, having collective or cooperative properties of the entire being. The living matrix and the circulatory system (see further text) are obvious candidates for the medium through which the DNA oscillations become entrained with molecules throughout the body (Harold Saxton Burr has similar ideas concerning this).

The Russian Gariaev group showed, that chromosomes function much like reprogramming holographic bio-spiritual computers, using the DNA’s own laser radiation. Their discovery of the grammatical syntax of the DNA language led to experiments in which they managed to modulate certain frequency patterns onto a laser beam (also by modulating radio waves and adding meaning (semanitcs) to the carrier wave) and therby influenced DNA frequency information and its communication. Spoken language can be modulated on the correct carrier wave frequencies by which we can reprogram our DNA!

In the words of Miller and Webb: “In the quantum hologaphic DNA-wave biocomputer theory, DNA is a self-calibrating antenna working by phase conjugate (italics are mine, remember scalar waves and phase conjugation) adaptive resonance capable of both receiving and transmitting quantum holographic information stored in the form of diffraction patterns-quantum holograms”. The team of Gariaev developed machines that influenced cellulair metabolism by means of soundwaves and lightwaves, coupled to human language frequencies. The genetic code, especially of potential DNA, follows uniform grammar and usage rules virtually identical to those of human languages. Using this method, Gariaev showed that chromosomes that are damaged by X-rays, for instance, can be repaired by simply applying vibration and language, or sound combined with intention, or words, to DNA!

Here, once more, we can see the powerfull influence of words, another thing the Ancients knew quite well! Dr. Rein discovered and proved experimentally that emotions like anger and fear can “compress” DNA, they have the power to contract the DNA molecule. However, emotions like joy, gratitude and love unwind the the DNA, decompress it! Here we find a direct connection between torsion energy (scalar waves) and life-affirming emotions, especially unconditional love. Now just consider the implications of Dan Winter’s theory that e-motions can program our DNA and Emoto’s findings in water and affirmation techniques and positive visualisation in general, especially when coupled with healing sounds!. Maybe the Beatles were right all along (and so were the Ancients once again...): all we need is...?

DNA also looks similar to the workings of a network computer, especially since their research showed that DNA is able to even influence quantum subspace! Our “junk DNA” has some impact in the universe at large. Genetic expression has been found to impact the infinite matrix of space, our DNA can send and receive powerfull data through a universal network of ether.. Small magnetized wormholes of a subquantum nature (equivalent to the Einstein-Rosen bridges) can be produced by these electrogenetic affects.

Gamma waves as information carriers

Although the article doesn't specifically mention DNA,
elsewhere in this thread we have discussed the structure of DNA/RNA as transceiver; so this information is probably pertinent

Information is carried on top of gamma waves, just like songs are carried by radio waves. These "carrier waves" transmit information from one brain region to another. "We found that there are slow gamma waves and fast gamma waves coming from different brain areas, just like radio stations transmit on different frequencies," she says.

I've been busy with other threads for a while, but noticed when this thread surfaced recently that I never replied to your quoted article about the discovery of glycine in interstellar dust clouds. I had read several such articles before making my statement, so I would like to simply make this proviso - - 27 of the marker lines for glycine were found in spectrographic studies, however the lines were weak and difficult to detect, and there are sources for these lines that may be unrelated to glycine. Having thus said, even if glycine were confirmed, the analogy still holds, but might be restated this way: Throw grenades constantly into a pile of perfectly formed bricks [analogous to glycine perhaps] until the bricks finally spontaneously rearrange to form the Empire State Building [analogous to a living organism]. Such is the difference in organizational level required to gain a living biological system from a "pile" of amino acids.
