Recovered: DNA Resources File

What is a human being? What is life? Can science give us reliable answers to such questions? The electricity of life. The meaning of human consciousness. Are we alone? Are the traditional contests between science and religion still relevant? Does the word "spirit" still hold meaning today?

~What once was old, is now new:
For the first time, the electromagnetic signals specific to HIV are detected in patients receiving antiretroviral therapy has no proven virus in the blood, the prospects for a science of homeopathy in good condition
Luc Montagnier, who won the 2008 Nobel Prize for discovering the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), scored a success, but it is very controversial in the community. His research team has found that electromagnetic (EM) signals consistently in dilute solutions of DNA of HIV virus in water.

Plasma samples were obtained from three groups of patients (total 125): asymptomatic without treatment, but symptomatic and treated with high viral load and antiretroviral therapy are treated symptomatically and with no visible viral load.

[blow bye the homo-therapy theory, as seen on TheNet]

MS signals were detected only in the group of patients treated with antiretroviral therapy and viral load. The signs were produced in the same range of dilutions in fresh plasma and aqueous, the filtering of the original solution, and vortex stirring after each dilution water is necessary for EM signals to be detected.

Evidence of a new quantum state of nano-confined water

Deep Inelastic Neutron Scattering provides a means of directly and accurately measuring the momentum distribution of protons in water, which is determined primarily by the protons ground state wavefunction. We find that in water confined on scales of 20A, this wave function responds to the details of the confinement, corresponds to a strongly anharmonic local potential, shows evidence in some cases of coherent delocalization in double wells, and involves changes in zero point kinetic energy of the protons from -40 to +120 meV difference from that of bulk water at room temperature. This behavior appears to be a generic feature of nanoscale confinement. It is exhibited here in 16A inner diameter carbon nanotubes, two different hydrated proton exchange membranes(PEMs), Nafion 1120 and Dow 858, and has been seen earlier in xerogel and 14A diameter carbon nanotubes. The proton conductivity in the PEM samples correlates with the degree of coherent delocalization of the proton.

" A new quantum state of water found in carbon nanotubes at room temperature could have important implications for life
The background to this is that the electrons in donor and acceptor molecules in hydrogen bonds are indistinguishable, meaning they can travel from one molecule to the next. When the molecules are confined in some way, they can spread some distance, when in a solid for example
.
Reiter and co chose carbon nanotubes because they are an analogue of the conditions water faces when passing through living systems, through ion channels in cell membranes, for example. Biologists have long known that flow through these channels is orders of magnitude greater than conventional fluid dynamics predicts. Perhaps this new state of quantum water is the reason why.

Mix of Nanoparticles, DNA Create Photonic Crystals
When scientists mixed the particles, out of the brew emerged a sodium thallium crystal lattice. The device "self assembled" or literally built itself. " "
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 28, 2011 — Scientists have created a diamond-like lattice composed of gold nanoparticles and viral particles, woven together and held in place by strands of DNA. The structure — a distinctive mix of hard, metallic nanoparticles and organic viral pieces known as capsids, linked by DNA — marks a big step towards creating a photonic crystal that can manipulate visible light.

... actually two distinct forces at work, Park said. The gold particles and the viral particles repel each other, but their deterrence is countered by the attraction between the strategically placed complementary strands of DNA. Both phenomena play a role in creating the rigid crystal lattice.
