Gravity Test / Boyd Bushman

Has science taken a wrong turn? If so, what corrections are needed? Chronicles of scientific misbehavior. The role of heretic-pioneers and forbidden questions in the sciences. Is peer review working? The perverse "consensus of leading scientists." Good public relations versus good science.

I’ve spent several intriguing hours checking out your links and following where they lead, junglelord, thank you for the terrific research leads!

First I checked out the Progressive Tech Center’s YouTube video of their replication of Bushman’s gravity / magnetism tests – it was really exciting to see others testing this concept. And apparently coming up with a positive result too. Assuming that these results hold up to some proper scientific empirical testing, this is truly *enormous* news!

And this is also the ideal impetus to complete my testing apparatus and gather some hard, repeatable numerical data on this effect:..very, very much appreciated inspiration, junglelord. I'll be sure to share my data with you as soon as I have it.

Now, GaryN, you’re right to expect some level of magnetic interaction with the Earth’s field to influence this test. However, I looked into the notion of levitating a craft on the Earth’s magnetic field a few years ago, and iirc it would require an intense magnetic field many miles in diameter, far beyond our current technological capabilities, to produce any significant lifting force against the Earth’s very weak magnetic field. But that’s the lazy late-night answer. The force acting between the Earth’s field and a magnetic test mass can be calculated, and accounted for within the experimental data, to determine if Bushman’s effect can be accounted for in this way. Given the tenuous strength of the Earth’s magnetic field, I suspect that magnetic interaction would only have a second or third-order effect on this test. But only hard data and math can prove or disprove this assumption for certain.

The Progressive Tech Center (the folks who ran the Boyd Bushman replication video test) seems like a very exciting and forward-thinking young organization, and I found their webpage tantalizing (if perhaps a bit New Agey). William Alek’s paper seems to merit, and require, a great deal of in-depth analysis. And actually there’s a link (http://www.intalek.com/Index/Projects/R ... dRebka.htm) on their tech page regarding the ‘Harvard Tower Experiment’ conducted in the 60’s, which explains your other link junglelord (Martin Grusenick’s very beautiful laser interferometer experiment…this is simply the gravitational red/blueshift in action, not new physics…but still it’s amazingly cool to see in real time with an onboard video camera). Digging around the Progressive Tech website I started to wonder if ‘The Ranch’ might be located atop a mysterious island in the South Pacific, near the wreckage of Oceanic Flight 815 ;

But then I followed the links they had to Steven Mark’s “toroidal power generator” and the Google Video "replication video" by Jason O, and was mortified by the outrageous hokum of it:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 8906115584#

I mean, the guy –shows you- that his power supply is feeding the test circuit connected to the bulb with

42.2Volts x 3.65 Amps = 154.03 Watts of power

…and we’re supposed to be impressed that the light bulb is glowing brightly? What the heck is going on that anyone would take this ‘toroidal generator’ scam seriously, especially a guy like Alek who seems to know his way around electrical engineering equations? Eh, maybe I missed something…live and learn…and run some experiments along the way :)

For Gods sake! Are you that ignorant that you dont understand that we can "invert or reverse" this experiment?
There is NO NEED to buy expensive magnets which will render themsleves useless after this experiment!

Take 2 toroidal coils, put one on top of the other, feed them with DC. See if they levitate....
They will at some point, but you have to be smart here, take a look at some of the posted links here, remember what the great man Tesla said.

Tip: There is a "rotational component" needed to make "it" happen.

The 7 main Forces in our Universe are:

1 Strong Force (Atomic Binding/Gluons)
2 Electromagnetism (light/photon)
3 Weak Force (W/Z Boson)
4 Gravity (Gravitons) (Gravity is really a 2-way force!!)
5 Magnetism (Magnets)
6 AntiGravity (Gravity itself consists of 2 forces or waves because we are moving in a FLUID space, it consists of a diverging wave and a converging wave, see Hydrodynamics to learn more)
7 N-Force or Dark Force (The interaction between fusion-Neutrinos-plasma) If you are smart you will know what I mean. The rest of you, Dont even ask!

@Scourge,

Sadly, Dean (Junglelord) passed away last September after a brief illness. :(

He was a very interesting human being, and his quirky insights made all of us pause and reflect on more than one occasion.

Hope you're having a blast riding those longitudinal waves in the aether, Dean! 8-)
