These videos really hit home and sum it all up. While I welcome everyone' ideas/comments about what is wrong with modern science, let's at least comment on the content of the video first before elaborating further.

What if you are one of those unfortunate individuals who doesn't see the emperor's new clothes? The first thing a mainstreamer tells you to do is go out there and publish through a peer-reviewed journal. Well, that's easier said than done. Imagine submitting a manuscript arguing against the existence of God to a peer-reviewed inquisition board comprised of 3 Christians 2 Muslims and a Buddhist. What do you think are your chances of being published?

Hello everyone, this is my first posting.

I watched those two vids, and the guy makes a valid point about the religious voodoo aspects of modern relativistic cosmology, many of the same tactics that were used to fool the peasants into accepting nonsense back in ancient times, by making something so complicated that you simply give up, say 'ok, im not an expert' and then go back to farming or blacksmithing, with you admission of authority and inferiority to the priest/wizard/alchemist. Y'all get the picture.

If you look at the guy Gaedes wedsite, youstupidrelativist.com, you will discover that not only that he is out of touch with the EU perspective, based on statements like 'the sun is going to burn itself to a cinder', found under his 'extinction' link on his page, but he is also a heavy fatalist and nihilist, also found under the 'extinction' link on his page, lol. He thinks that the human race is not going to make it past this century, which, in my opinion, is complete bunk-o. Perhaps there will be an 'existential bottleneck' on the path to century 22 and the glorious 'new age' but that is not going to stop the social darwinists from clawing their way up the ladder of fitness. Speaking of, this guy also doesn't think that trans-humanism and post-humanist beings are going to make the jump, which seems counter-intuitive at best, becuase these sciences do exist already at higher levels, and will gradually trickle down to make us more electronically enslaved (upload your mind, get a brain implant). But I think the wealthy will afford non-slave bio upgrades, leading to a new species itself. Ok, I don't want to hijack this thread with transhumanist musings. I think this guy has a good few points to make, but he under-estimates the drive of sentient intelligence to survive. He has the gall to declare that we will never make it off this planet, and I'm not going to accept that sort of defeatism.

That being said, I think that the EU theory is profound, and awe inspiring, and I;m glad I found out about it. I really is powerful at integrating the disjointed perspectives of modern science and the understading of our lifes and nature. Cheers.

Most people misunderstand Gaede at first. He is not a fatalist or a nihilist, extinction is not an emotional or philosophical issue for him. It is a matter of observing patterns and drawing reasoned conclusions. You may disagree with his conclusions, which is fine with him, but before you disagree you should first actually understand his reasoning process and how he came to that conclusion. Dismissing it out of hand because you don't like the sounds of it is more illogical than coming to an incorrect conclusion but using your best observational and reasoning capabilities to arrive there.

Just because he concludes that the sun will eventually "burn out" that means he is incompatible with the EU Club? Isn't exclusivity the mistake of mainstream physics which EU is trying to avoid? If he reads evidence and observations and comes to his own conclusions, which are different from yours, you write him off?

This habit of categorically placing people "in the club" or "out of the club" is horribly damaging to science and society in general. Every person is different and has come to conclusions for specific reasons. Just because they're different from yours is not cause for laughter, mockery, or dismissal. If you're a logical, thinking, and rational person you will 1) Figure out where there conclusions come from 2) Agree or disagree 3) If disagree, illustrate your reasoning process to that person to help them see what you think is right or 3) If agree, tell them you think their reasoning is valid, and tell them what additional insights/thoughts you have that contribute to its validity 4) If disagreed and explained, and the other person still disagrees, you usually just agree to disagree or go back to 3 and repeat.

It is evident from your post that you have not actually thoroughly read Gaede's arguments and thought them through. His stance is that extinction for each species is inevitable the moment that species is born. He presents a theory on extinction compatible with this claim. He presents economic evidence and reasoned arguments to support his claim that the human race is not long for this world. I don't think it will happen nearly as fast as he thinks it will, but it is inevitable. No species literally lasts forever, eventually there's the "big crunch" or the "big freeze".

Meanwhile the US is losing 0.5M jobs a month right now, and Obama's "New Deal" policy is our hopeful bailout. But modern conditions are not like they were around the depression. If you're interested you can read about it on his site and read his book.

Gall? Just because someone makes a claim that is different than yours, it must take "gall"?

Do you actually have any idea of the massive hurdles, technological and social, to supplanting a portion of the human race to another planet!? I think if you did, you'd at least be skeptical.

He said originally the audio did match, he doesn't know what happened. It's annoying, but the guy's present his theory in video format for free. He's not a videographer.
