Milo Wolff Wave Structure of Matter

Has science taken a wrong turn? If so, what corrections are needed? Chronicles of scientific misbehavior. The role of heretic-pioneers and forbidden questions in the sciences. Is peer review working? The perverse "consensus of leading scientists." Good public relations versus good science.

This just in from Milo Wolff.

His new book "Schroedinger's Universe" has received a
5 star review on Amazon.com from Sutapas Bhattacharya.

Here's the email and the review:
Cher Sutapas,

Thank you for your review of my book,
"Schroedinger's Universe - Origin of the Natural laws".

I am deeply impressed with your amazing encyclopediac knowledge of
science, philosophy, history, mathematics and physics. There is no need
for a library as long as you are available!

I am forwarding your review article to two editors (Dr. Cynthia Whitney
and Nancy Kolenda) of excellent smaller journals that publish on the
philosophy of science. I am sure they will regard your review as valuable
material if they have the space. They would also need references - altho
many may be found on a Google.com search. They may ask to shorten
your article.

Michael Studencki is currently writing books and translating this book into
Polish.

Fintan in Ireland, publishes an internet journal called BreakforNews.com.
He is much interested in new concepts and has an amazing scientific
memory like yours.

I am not sure whether they might chose to publish in a format other than
a review letter. They may contact you. They may want permission to
shorten your review.

Geoff Haselhurst publishes an internet journal SpaceAndMotion.com and
conducts an inter forum on the Wave Structure of Matter.

Mike Weber is a professor of Physics/EE and an outstanding member of
the forum.

Like you, all these persons are amazing people with amazing minds
interested in your thoughts.

Sincerely, Milo Wolff
And here's the Review by Sutapas Bhattacharya. Not only a great review
of the book, but also a terrific overview of Eastern and Western science
and philosophy:
Below is my (5 star) Amazon Review of a new book by US physicist Milo
Wolff whose remarkable Wave Structure of Matter model of the electron
seems to show how the unexplained properties of matter and the so-
called Laws of Nature arise. As Wolff himself notes such notions resemble
various Asian philosophies. I consider Wolffs model to be superior to
those of the late David Bohm (who suggested similar ideas) and the work
of Wolfram Schommers. Please forward this review to anyone interested.

Eliminate Elementary Particles:
Matter and Laws Emerge from Wave Holonomy

Anyone interested in Physics, Metaphysics, New Age Cosmologies such as
the Holographic ideas of Bohm and Pribram, Indian Tantric metaphysics
and notions of the Akasha, or just in amazing new ideas explaining once
mysterious phenomena should read this remarkable book.

The central ideas are easy enough to understand without the need for
mathematics and Wolff conveniently leaves most of the maths out of the
main text placing it in appendices.

By abandoning the Western myth of elementary particles and modelling
the electron as a phenomenon (appearance) created by converging
(Huygens construction) scalar wavefronts which spin around as it were
and diverge again from the (finite not infinitesimal particle-like) wave-
centre (his so-called Space Resonances) and using just two basic
principles, Wolff shows how previously unexplained basic properties of
matter (e.g. charge attraction/repulsion, spin, antimatter), the so-called
Laws of Nature, and mysteries such as the Dirac Large Number ratios
relating the Hubble Universe to the electron and proton etc. emerge from
the (holonomic) wave structure of matter.

Similarly, the seemingly mysterious paradoxes of Quantum Mechanics
disappear as conceptual confusions produced by assuming elementary
particles and related bad metaphysics that has proliferated around it.

Gravity is interpreted in a similar phenomenal (i.e. appearance rather
than existential reality) manner in regard to wave effects making a
particle phenomenon appear closer to a large body such as the sun,
hence the bending of light etc. Apparently this is equivalent to Einsteins
abstract mathematical curving of space in GTR. Such ideas tie in with
recent reinterpretations of Physics using Information Theory (see Seifes
Decoding the Universe) as epistemological analysis of Physics clearly
reveals that much of the content is metaphysical interpretation of the
limited empirically available information. Such notions of Gravity also has
some resonance with Sakharovs view that electromagnetism was
fundamental and Gravity appears as a collective phenomenon rather like
a pressure. I think Puthoffs ideas based on the Zero Point Field picture
Gravity similarly. Similarly the Red Shift which has been interpreted in
terms of an expanding universe can be reinterpreted in various ways
(tired photons etc.).

Note that Wolff's Machian holonomy relates the Hubble Constant to the
horizonal limit constituting a particles extended wave structure. Thus a
universe is conceived relativistically as the nonlocal, spherical light-
horizon limit around each particle. Wolff thus denies the Big Bang and
holds the cosmos to be infinite with each particle the centre of its own
horizonal universe. The simplicity and success in deriving unexplained
phenomena of Wolffs model has prompted me to order books that
question the validity of the Big Bang (Seeing Red; Big Bang Blasted) as
well as Carver Meads and Tonomuras books from Wolffs references.

The Western myth of the Laws of Nature and the Western Mind/Body
dualism both stem from the anthropomorphic Christian myth of Creatio
ex nihilo. Inspired by Chinese inventions like gunpowder, magnetic
compass and the mechanical clock, the Renaissance Christians, holding
God as separate from insentient, inanimate Nature searched for supposed
Laws of Nature.

The Chinese knew Nature was self-organising and such regularities arose
spontaneously and were not god-given laws (Newtons theistic god was
Prime Mover and Maintainer of the laws).

In Metaphysical Foundations of Modern Physical Science, Burtt brings out
Newtons tacit metaphysics of Space as the Sensorium of God, influenced
by Henry Mores Neoplatonic Space as Divine Presence and (contra. Wolff)
Newtons speculations of an Ether to explain magnetism and Gravity.

Galileo further despiritualised Nature with his use of the Greek Skeptics
primary (measurable, quantifiable) qualities as objective and supposedly
real whilst sensory (conscious) qualities like colours were considered
secondary and unreal. Isaac Newton, Edmund Husserl and others have
noted the folly of Galileos notions as measurable quantities cannot be
determined without sensory conscious qualities.

The notions of measurement and observation (regardless of Relativity)
presuppose Consciousness as Eddington noted in Nature of the Physical
World where he refers to scientists as those who start from
Consciousness to read dials and gauges etc. Thus Western Materialism
and Physicalism (as with Wolffs views) are false abstractions from
psychophysical Reality.

Wolff lists Clifford, Schrodinger, Einstein and Dirac as predecessors in
regard to the Wave Structure of Matter. In fact, not only are such ideas
found in Indian Tantric metaphysics but very similar notions of converging
and diverging holonomic waves in the implicate order were propounded
by David Bohm and Basil Hiley in the final chapter of The Undivided
Universe (1993 Bohms last book) which I would strongly recommend as
a supplement to this book for serious thinkers.

Such notions are linked to the famous Feynman diagrams. Wolffs
understanding of the historical and philosophical background to such
notions is limited and sometimes erroneous and Eurocentric. He does note
that Asian philosophers had thought up such ideas, stating how clever
they were. However, the notion of Akasha (Space as subtle matter,
ether), holonomy and resonances of form in the Akasha were not
products of thought but mystical realizations through Knowledge by
Identity (becoming one with).

Nobel laureate physicist Brian Josephson has stated that in order to go
beyond Quantum Theory, physicists may need to meditate and
experience the deeper levels of reality in altered states as mystics have
done (see Synthesis of Science and Religion). David Bohm (whom
Einstein befriended at Princeton) later befriended Jiddu Krishnamurti and
Bohms emphasis on Perception reflects this Indian influence. Bohms oft-
repeated metaphor of the particle like phenomenon being constituted by a
series of flashing moments resembles the ancient Indian Buddhist notion
associated with Dharmakirti etc. of atoms flashing in and out of existence.

This is how Buddhist yogis experience the manifestation of matter in
Insight Meditation and this Indian Momentary Atomism also resembles
Wolffs picture (although Wolffs wave centres involve standing wave
formations). Wolff also mentions such dynamic process views of matter in
Tibetan Dzogschen Buddhism where Reality is Light and Consciousness.
Tibetan Buddhism originated in Indian Tantric Buddhism and Dzogschen
(as advocated by Dalai Lama) returns Buddhism to a Brahmanical Ground
and Inner Light (Atman) as in the Brahmanism from which Buddhism
originated.

Another Eurocentric metaphysical deficiency is the fact that Clifford (mind-
stuff), Ernst Mach (had a Nature Mysticism ego dissolution experience
leading to Pansensism) and Schrodinger (lifelong advocate of Advaita
Vedanta (nondual Brahmanism)) were Panpsychists. Such wave
mechanical views are commonly associated with mystically derived
panpsychism. Biographer Moore states that Schrodinger was an Advaita
advocate before he became a physicist and held the Advaita Vedanta
doctrine of Atman/Brahman (that the impersonal consciousness within is
one with the universal absolute consciousness, the Ground of all Being) as
the highest thought ever formulated by man (it is not a concept but a
mystical realisation).

In fact Schrodinger said that his 1924 work on Bose-Einstein statistics,
which Einstein interpreted in terms of de Broglies Matter Waves led to his
Wave Mechanical Schrodinger Equation in 1925. S.N. Bose was a Bengali
Hindu and that Bose-Einstein condensates were created in laboratories a
few years ago. Particulate matter, near to absolute zero, becomes more
wave-like and then macroscopically visible matter becomes like one
gigantic Schrodinger Wave Function! Thus Matter Waves are not merely
an idea!

Schrodinger detested the probabilistic interpretation of QM. He asserted
that the particle behaviour was described by a WAVE function as a
particle was actually constituted of waves (the particle being an
epiphenomenon). Schrodinger saw QM as perfectly consistent with the
Monism and the All in One/One in All (holonomy) of Advaita Vedanta. Of
course, discontinuous elementary particles are incompatible with
Brahmanic Monism whereas the tantric wave/vibrations of the underlying
Pure Consciousness retain Monism. Schrodinger also asserted in his What
is Life and Mind and Matter, his Vedantic view that Consciousness is
ultimately one ( a view supported by my identification of the physical
correlate of the inner Light of Pure Consciousness (atman) with the
brainwaves of the Reticular Activating System (a fact supported by
overwhelming phenomenological evidence). Thus Schrodingers true
metaphysics is Brahmanic, the phenomenal universe of physics arises out
of the nirguna (distinctionless) Brahman, the macrocosmic Light of Pure
Consciousness (the mystical Plenum/void).

Thus Wolff asks what is Space, the medium of energetic waves whereas
Schrodingers true world-picture would view Space as the Infinite Space of
nirguna Brahman as realised in the 20th Century by American
mathematician and mystic Merrell-Wolff in his Pathways Through to
Space. MW liked Diracs notion of antimatter as it resembled his
experience of the Highest Nondual Consciousness with dichotomous forms
polarizing out of it. Dirac spoke of a material Nothingness.

Similarly, Heisenberg told Capra (in Uncommon Wisdom) that he was
subconsciously influenced by Indian philosophy in his invention of QM.
Later in discussions with Tagore in Calcutta, it came as a great comfort to
Heisenberg that an entire civilisation (Indian) subscribed to a world-
picture that resembled the new QM that had so shocked the Western
Mind. Heisenberg has also questioned the Mind/Body dualism underlying
Western thought and his astrophysicist friend Carl von Weiszacker was an
advocate of Indian Tantric views.

Wolff stresses simple logical thought and intuitively understandable
metaphoric constructions rather than complex abstract mathematics and
so the gist of his ideas are amazingly simple to understand. In fact I
came across his paper in another book Science and the Primacy of
Consciousness where his work was placed in a Quantum Cosmology
section alongside those of Stapp, Evan Harris Walker, Amit Goswami etc.
which I was familiar with and decided to skip.

The ideas of Goswami on Quantum Mind (using completely erroneous
notions of consciousness based on von Neumann and Wigner as well as
assuming without argument Nondual Brahmanism) highlight what I have
referred to as superficial minds presenting their own confused thoughts as
profound mystery. Having myself identified the physical correlate of the
Light of Pure Consciousness with a well-established brain process, I can
see the stupidity of most extremely arcane Quantum Mind approaches.
Reality is much simpler than most blinkered physicists, steeped in arcane
maths think.

Wolffs paper was entitled Matter Waves and Human Consciousness and
although it had nothing to do with Consciousness (Bohm also talks
misleadingly about Consciousness revealing his roots in Spinoza), I
recognised that his reformulation of physics using Matter Waves and
Machs Principle etc. harmonised with my own work in metaphysics and
Science-Mysticism synthesis related to the Akashic Resonance principles
underlying psychic phenomena which were also related to the ideas of
David Bohm (Active Information, Holonomy) and to the notion of Acausal
Orderedness (developed by Carl Jung after 26 years communication with
Wolfgang Pauli see Atom and Archetype) which Kantian theoretical
physicist Wolfram Schommers has elaborated upon in his own holonomic
(using Machs Principle) reformulation of Quantum Theory (see Symbols,
Pictures and Quantum Reality). Bohms and David Peats talk of Matter and
Mind merging at a deeper level reflects such Jungian inchoate ideas of a
Psychoid Realm.

Physicist Nick Herbert also explains in his Quantum Reality that the
attributes of matter are described in QM by waveform families. Herberts
own view is called Quantum Tantra as the Indian metaphysics of Tantra
holds the phenomenal universe to manifest through the energetic
vibrations of the underlying Ground, the Supreme Light of Pure
Consciousness (equivalent to Advaitas nirguna Brahman).

Incidentally, the Indian Maya (illusion) concept refers to how our normal
perception of Space-Time-Causality (STC) masks the true deeper, nature
of Reality which is not limited by STC. In fact, the flow of the Light of Pure
Consciousness (RAS brainwaves), underlying perception constitutes the
yogic Time/Space Matrix of Perception (an understanding much older and
more profound than Kants and Schommers Husserls collaborator Fink also
realised that the Momentary Flow of underlying Temporal Consciousness
constituted a Space-Time matrix).

When this is transcended the yogi experiences the holistic interconnectedness
of all phenomena! This STC/transcendental distinction in perception
underlies the Classical/Quantum distinction which Bohm never clearly
managed to clarify.

On p2 Wolff puts Pythagoras wrongly alongside Democritus as an Atomist
when in fact Pythagoras harmonies were remarkably similar to Wolffs
own musical analogies for waves! Similarly Plato is misrepresented as a
Natural Philosopher alongside Buddha! Contra Wolffs naive views,
McEvilley shows in The Shape of Ancient Thought how Greek philosophia
and Transcendental Monism originated in Indian Jain Yoga. Both
Pythagoras (the One breathed in the Void to fill up the space between
things) and Plato were mystics who believed in reincarnation. The goal of
philosophia for Plato was to escape the wheel of transmigration.

Furthermore, Diogenes Laertius mentions Democritus meetings with
Indian gymnosophists (yogis). Various forms of atomism were created by
Indian philosophers both substantial and momentary flashing types. Bohm
stresses how Democritus atomism was a response to the Eleatics (Zeno
etc.) denying Becoming and Motion. Democritus thus introduced the
notion of empty space (rather than Plenum-Ether) for ultimate atoms to
move in.

Contra Wolff, Democritan Atomism has not been dominant in the West
most of the time. As Seife shows in Zero: Biography of a Dangerous
Idea, it was the new Indian mathematics with its Zero (representing the
mystical Void or Nothingness), Infinity, so-called Arabic numerals,
algebra, arithmetic, solutions to general equations, sine function, negative
and imaginary numbers etc. which allowed Galileo, Descartes, Newton et
al. to develop the new mathematical physics and also the reintroduction
of Democritan Atomism. Aristotles rejection of the vacuum had
suppressed Atomism in the West. A.L. Basham notes that the medieval
Arabs called maths Hindisat (Art of the Hindus). Seife notes how the
Indian Zero and Void (actually Indian plenum/void not vacuum) notions
led to Arabs and Sephardic Jews abandoning Aristotle and reconsidering
Atomism and eventually such ideas spread to the Christians.

The notion of philosophia (Love of Divine Wisdom) also relates to the
Akasha. The inner Light of Pure Consciousness (RAS brainwaves) is called
Pure when mental activity ceases and the sensory superimpositions upon
the Light are stilled making it appear contentless. But careful refinement
of attention reveals that the empty Light is itself full of subtle (akashic)
content. The Buddhists say that each mind moment contains the
information of the entire universe. Thus the holonomy of transcendental
Reality (holistic interconnectedness of all phenomena) is realised as
Divine Wisdom or omniscience. True Divine inspiration involves teasing
out information from the inner Light or Godhead.

As Vedanta says of mystical union, the space within a jar becomes one
with the infinite space (akasha) when the jar is broken (i.e. the ego mind
dissolves in the inner Light which is one with the universal Light). Such
Creativity, paranormal psychic phenomena (violating supposed
immutable Laws) and Free Will (ego consciousness as self-agency) also
seem to be related to akashic resonances (the Yoga Sutras resonances of
Form in the akasha, equivalent to Jungian Synchronicity and Westernized
as morphic resonance) which ties in with Bohms notion of Active
Information linked to nonlocal effects.

Wolffs model, as it stands, seems to involve just normal 3D space without
the distinction between Euclidean STC created by sensory perception and
deeper transcendental, nonlocal reality perhaps associated with countless
dimensions.

Although Wolff rejects the probabilistic interpretations of QM associated
with Born etc., I think that there is a need retain notions like Bohms
Active Information and Heisenbergs potentia etc. as the full picture of
Reality must account for paranormal psychic phenomena (as in the work
of Helmut Schmidt or Robert Jahn using random radioactive decay) which
seem to suggest mental influence on the actualization of possibilities
represented by the Wave Function. Herbert also views Tantric Quantum
Reality as vibratory possibilities.

Nonetheless, Wolffs intuitively simple model is much superior to the
abstract energy, momentum prespace of Kantian Schommers and the
rather ad hoc causal and ontological interpretations of Bohm.

Macrosize Wave/Duality. Structure and Function of the most amazing properties again Fuller is the MAN!

Quantum mechanics
In 1999, researchers from the University of Vienna demonstrated the wave-particle duality applied to molecules such as fullerene. One of the co-authors of this research, Julian Voss-Andreae, became an artist and has since created several sculptures symbolizing wave-particle duality in Buckminsterfullerenes.

Science writer Marcus Chown stated on the CBC radio show Quirks and Quarks in May 2006 that scientists are trying to make buckyballs exhibit the quantum behavior of existing in two places at once (quantum superposition).

This is for the three amigos. Crackpots.
Despite several thousand years of failure to correctly understand physical reality (hence the current postmodern view that this is impossible) it is actually very simple to work out how matter exists and moves about in Space. We just had to take Science (Occam's Razor / Simplicity) and Metaphysics (Dynamic Unity of Reality) seriously and thus describe reality from only one substance existing, as Leibniz wrote; Reality cannot be found except in One single source, because of the interconnection of all things with one another. When we deduce this most Simple Science Theory of Reality we find that there is only one possible solution: Space must be the substance which exists and matter is formed from waves in Space. i.e. While there are many minds and material things, they all exist in one common Space (just look around you and think about it). We can then show that the Wave Structure of Matter is the correct solution as it deduces the fundamentals of Physics & Philosophy perfectly (there are no opinions).

I realise that there are a lot of 'crackpot' theories about truth and reality on the internet, but this solution is the most simple one and it is obvious once known (though it takes time for our minds to adjust to new knowledge).
In hindsight the error was obvious - to try and describe an interconnected reality from the foundation of many discrete and separate things, matter 'particles', which then required forces / fields to connect them in space and time. This was always just a mathematical solution which never explained how matter was connected across the universe.

For those who are religious / spiritual, Space is really just another word for God (Brahman, Tao, Spirit, Energy, Light). What is certain is that discrete and separate 'particles' do not exist - we are all connected to this space that we all commonly experience. This underlying unity of reality (God) is central to all major world religions, thus their common moral foundation of 'Do unto others as to thyself' as the other is part of the self (we are all one with god / physical reality). Clearly there is still much to explain about our minds, our human emotions and moral / spiritual sense. This is no doubt the future of theology and our understanding of 'God', to explore the properties of this Space we all find ourselves existing in.

Please help our world (human society / life on earth) by sharing this knowledge.
Clearly our world is in great trouble, heading rapidly towards self destruction due to human overpopulation and the resultant destruction of Nature, climate change and the pollution of air, land and water (over 80,000 man made chemicals contaminating everything we consume).

The best solution to these problems is to found our societies on truth and reality rather than past myths and customs (which invariably cause harm, our past and present global conflicts confirm this).

I am not naive to the difficulties that humanity faces. But history shows that truth eventually triumphs, that there are enough sensible logical people in the world who appreciate the importance of truth. We are listed as one of the Top Philosophy Websites on the Internet with around 500,000 page views each week, and rank in the top 20 in Google for many academic search terms - so we just need a bit of help to get in the top five (our aim). Given the Censorship in Physics / Philosophy of Science Journals (founded on the standard model / particle physics) the internet is clearly the best way to get new knowledge visible to the world. A world now in great need of wisdom from truth and reality.

Milo Wolff's Wave Structure of Matter model should be of particular interest to anyone interested in the electric universe. In this model, particles are made up of the centers of spherical waves. These spherical waves are emitted from all particles in the universe and interact with all other particles - what the model refers to as out-waves and in-waves. Taking just two particles for example, the out-waves of particle one arrive at particle two as in-waves of particle two. These in-waves do a spherical rotation at particle two's wave center and are reemitted as out-waves, this time for particle two. These out-waves then arrive at particle one as in-waves. This exchange of waves back and forth goes on forever. It is this exchange of waves that is responsible for the Coulomb/electric force - attraction and repulsion of charges.

Isn't this the way the electric universe functions? All particles are interacting electrically with all other particles.
