electric field Earth - Ionosphere

Where can I read more about this?

I recommend the following.
http://www.holoscience.com/ The synopsis is great. The news and views section has an archive that should narrow your search.

I nope this helps, michael

From the TIMED mission's website provided by Great Dog, above, this really interesting little Quicktime video:From the TIMED mission's website provided by Great Dog, above, this really interesting little Quicktime video:

I for one sure didn't know about chemical reactions taking part in modulating upper atmospheric temperatures; like many others, I just thought it was a matter of circulation and radiation and cloud cover albedo. There are many layers of complexity uncovered by this area of research, worth seeing to add to our background understanding of "how things work".

Re: electric field Earth - Ionosphere
It's really curious to me, what they were talking about with the N1O1 formation in the upper atmosphere.
I personally had conjectured that you'd see H1O1 or H2O1 creation up there due to the arrival of + hydrogen ions arriving from the Sun and hitting the more negatively charged oxygen in our atmosphere (to which I attributed both eventual H2O polar accumulation and also a certain amount of cooling as well due to electron scavenging). Hearing that they're attributing the upper atmospheric cooling to N1O1 is a bit perplexing. :\
Disclaimer: not a chemistry major, so anyone with a good explanation on this plz feel free to chime in and give me a lesson or two!
